The site is situated on the main road between Skegness town centre and Ingoldmells. It is virtually opposite the Butlins Holiday's site. It can easily be reached via train, coach or car.
It has a licensed clubhouse which has two rooms, an adults lounge and a family entertainment lounge. During high season a kids disco and other entertainment are free to all. Bingo for both adults and kids throughout the evening. Food is available from either lounge to eat in or to take away.
Within a half mile walk there is a chip shop, newsagents, other family bars, amusement arcades and the beach. A regular bus service route is very close that will take you to the local amenities for a nominal fee. You can purchase a day pass for the Butlins Holiday Site adjacent.
If you turn left out of the site entrance you can reach Fantasy Island a short distance away. There is all day parking, large open market and indoor market daily, inter-mixed with loads of hair raising rides and a very big ferris wheel. There is a large selection of local eateries, including McDonalds, etc. With a short drive you are rewarded by The Saracens Head on High St in Hogsthorpe offering great food and good ale. If you turn right out of the site you get to Skegness town which offers a good range of shops along with a funfair and amusement arcades, restaurants, fish & chip shops and other eateries i.e. co-op.
There is also a seal sanctuary, animal farm, beach, panda world for children, swimming pool, pier, crazy golf, theatre and lots more including illuminations at certain times of the season. The area is very family orientated but is also quiet and scenic if you prefer that type of holiday. The area can cater for all types of people and tastes. |
