Caravan Park + Local Area Information
|
Lodge Farm Holidays' luxury Bluebird static caravan is set, on its own, at the edge of a field next to our vegetable garden with fabulous views across the Dales countryside.
It has an extremely peaceful atmosphere (even we find it relaxing to go round there!) and there is a wide variety of birds and wildlife.
There are many varied walks in the area, many starting from the farm. We have fly fishing available on the River Greta and there is course fishing on the reservoirs.
Lodge Farm Holidays is conveniently situated 2 miles off the A66 trans-Pennine route and the town of Barnard Castle is only 5 miles away with pubs, restaurants, leisure club, the world famous Bowes museum, etc.
Lodge Farm Holidays is about an hour away from both the Lake District and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and is just over "the Stang" from Swaledale. We are also about an hour away from the coast.
There is much to see and do in the area. Please read some of the reviews from previous visitors. We look forward to meeting you!
We normally ask for a deposit of 25% with the balance becoming due 2 weeks before your holiday. All prices include VAT and there are no extras unless you wish to hire towels. Everything is included except your own towels. |

"We wanted isolation, peace and quiet and got just that. The views are outstanding and the mobile home very comfortable, even the cold didn't put us off! We will return, hopefully in the summer when the weather is warmer. Lovely area and a warm welcome; big thanks!!"

"What a fantastic spot this is & a superb completely luxurious caravan! Everything has been thought of!! We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the scenery is amazing with fantastic wildlife to be seen straight from the outside area - we have eaten all our meals outside too!! There has been deer in the field, lots of birds to watch & of course thousands of playful rabbits! We recommend walking down to the river and back up thru' the woods (steep but worth it!). We will be back!"
