Main Description
Are you looking for peace and quiet in a 270 acre woodland site but with a gentle ten minute stroll to all the site amenities ?
Our plot 235 at Kelling Heath Holiday Park is a comfortable, privately owned static caravan that was brand new in June 2013, (32 feet by 12 feet) and is here for your enjoyment.

Access is up three steps (unfortunately not wheelchair friendly) onto a large decking area where you can sit and admire the view over a grassy area and down into the wooded gorge. If the leaves allow, you can look further to the sea and Weybourne Windmill which is about a mile and a half away. There is no street lighting on the site, so, after your day out wandering in the woods and using your torch to find your way back, you can look up and see the stars in all their glory.

Inside, the caravan is modern with a feeling of space. At one end is the main double bedroom with en suite bathroom and shower. At the opposite end is the twin bedded room (beds can move to make a double). Next to the twin room there is a family bathroom, also with shower.

The comfortable, carpeted lounge area has a TV/DVD, gas fire and two small table lamps which can be used to create a cosy atmosphere. The seating area converts into a fold out double bed. A free-standing dining table and chairs are opposite the kitchen area where the cooker has four gas rings with large oven. Additionally the kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and microwave mean that you can be self-sufficient (you don't have to go out to the many good eating places in the area; but they are worth trying!).
With double glazing and central heating, no matter what the season, you will be comfortable.

On Kelling Heath Holiday Park there is a mini market (which offers Cash-back), a restaurant, bar, laundrette and cycle hire shop. There is a small arcade and soft play area for children.

Outside amenities include tennis courts, a fitness trail, boules, table tennis and swimming pool. For children there are two outdoor adventure playgrounds. There is a bandstand in the square with (as for the indoor stage) free live entertainment :the frequency depending on the season.

The fitness centre has an indoor pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi which can be used at an extra cost. The site has its own web site:

Despite a week of bad weather, we all had a wonderful time. We are regular visitors to North Norfolk and have stayed in various accommodations along the coast but this is probably our favourite! The caravan is large, well maintained, very clean and extremely comfortable. It feels very secluded with a beautiful view from the deck of trees and rhododendrons in full bloom. We saw squirrels and a deer and woke up to bird song. The 'village square' is about a ten minute stroll. From the caravan we could hear the whistle of the North Norfolk railway and Kelling Heath has its own railway halt on the line, but we walked the easy footpath to Weybourne station and boarded the steam train there, having time to explore Sheringham and Holt. Cromer is an easy 10 minute drive. There are many great places to eat in the area, but we also made use of the well equipped kitchen in the caravan which was lovely to have. Paul was excellent from the first contact. Emails were responded to almost immediately and Paul was extremely kind in arranging for us to arrive early. He warned me before we got there that one of the gas canisters was low, when it ran out (there are two so you are not left without heating) one quick message to Paul and he had arranged for it to be replaced that day, without us even noticing! Prior to our visit he provided extremely detailed instructions (also available in the caravan) and these made settling in really easy. Paul and his wife look after the caravan and you can tell from the moment you arrive that it is a very special place – it felt a privilege to enjoy it for a week and we hope to return.

This was our 3rd stay at Kelling Heath and the first time we used 235. The site is fantastic, particularly with a 7 year old to entertain and we love the fact we can spend the whole day on site with bikes and the swimming pool for entertainment. 235 was fantastic and just right for a family of three. Its setting was lovely and it was hard to imagine you had neighbours! Despite it being October we managed to make use of the decking area even enjoying breakfast outside in the sun. With Holt (well Byfords) on your door step and Sunday lunch at the Kings Head, Letheringsett the location is ideal. We will be back.
