It is 5 minutes walk to the town centre, beach and marina where you can find local fishermen offering boat and fishing trips. The railway station is also in walking distance, so it is easy access from the midlands.
If your just looking to jump on the train to other surrounding areas in wales the train station is just a short walk away. There is also a small steam train to the beautiful falls at Devil's Bridge.
