There is an outdoor children's adventure playground plus a playing field for football and general sports. For everyones convienence there is a launderette, shop, cafe, with eat in or take away facilities and if you are over 18 the Smugglers Bar is waiting to serve you.
For the fishing enthusiast there is lake, sea and river fishing available so don't forget your fishing rod's!
There are two markets a week in Rye, one farmer's market on Wednesday and a very popular general market on Thursday. Great for retail therapy. Good food, cooked to order can be found in public houses, restaurants and hotels in and around Rye. 'Take away' food from several countries of the world can be found here also.
Medieval Rye, with its cobbled streets and period buildings, antique, book and craft shops is in a central location for many places of interest, including John Aspinall's Animal parks, vineyards with tours, historic Hastings with it's sea life centre, and Smuggler's Adventure.
Battle, Dungerness, Channel Ports and the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway. boating, windsurfing, golf and horse riding can be found in the area. The castles of Bodiam, Camber. Dover and Pevensey are close by.
There is a country walk through the bird watcher's paradise of the nature reserve to the beach. Well behaved dog's are welcome to join in the family fun.
There is a convienent bus service from just outside the site should the driver of the family like a holiday to! Camber Sands with it's sandy beach is only 4 miles from the site. So come and join us for a great holiday. Short stay, weekends or by the week.
