Main Description
This Coastal Retreat holiday home is the only one of its type at Doniford Bay. It benefits from double glazing, gas central heating and an integrated decking/balcony with roof. Sliding patio doors open onto it from the living area which has separate furniture, including a double bed settee. The dining room has separate table and chairs. The bedrooms are accessed via a corridor and comprise of a twin and a master bedroom with en-suite toilet. The bathroom has a large shower and toilet. The bedrooms are carpeted, the rest of the caravan has wood effect lino, ideal for wet or muddy feet and paws! This caravan is a no smoking caravan including electronic devices thank you. The park is set in beautiful West Somerset, overlooking the Bristol Channel and the coast of South Wales can be seen across the channel.

The caravan is rated as Prestige by Haven, and is decorated in a cheerful seaside style. it is modern and spacious, the lounge is open plan with a 26" flat screen combi TV/DVD with Freeview TV, it is heated by a gas fire and radiator. The dining area has table and chairs and leads into the kitchen. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with gas cooker, family sized fridge freezer and microwave. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower and toilet and wash basin as well as a radiator. The master bedroom has a full size double bed and a generous amount of storage space with a wardrobe, drawers and cupboard space as well as bedside tables. It also has an e-suite toilet with basin. The twin room has a wardrobe and storage cupboards as well as a bed side table. Both bedrooms have radiators for central heating. The boiler cupboard in the kitchen has a broom, dust pan and brush, mop and bucket, iron and ironing board.

Doniford Bay is a small and friendly park with its own beach access. This caravan is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac and so does not have passing traffic providing a lovely quiet and safe location, ideal for children and dogs (must be kept on lead whilst on the park, dogs not children!) As well as the integral balcony and an outside decking area we also have a slabbed patio area with outside table and chairs and as it is in an end position the garden area is not overlooked immediately by neighbouring caravans. The patio is a sun trap and catches the sun all afternoon so is ideal for relaxed sun bathing, BBQs (small family sized BBQ provided) and there is shade under a small tree in the garden if you need to cool down.

Doniford Bay is an award winning Haven park, it has a Live Lounge show bar, café bar, amusements arcade, indoor and outdoor swimming pools (with a waterslide!) multi sports courts, crazy gold, climbing wall and zip wire, trampoline, boules area and activities such as archery and fencing as well as cart hire for exploring the site. There are also lots of activities for the children and Fun Stars kids club. There is also a Spar on site for your everyday needs as well as a very tasty Fish & Chip takeaway! There is also a laundrette on site, situated close to the caravan.

The Quantock Hills are just a 10 minute drive from the park giving you access to over 50 square miles of beautiful open land, which was designated as England?s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, (AONB). Dunster Castle, the West Somerset Steam railway and Minehead are just a short drive away. There are also a number of beaches close to the park, Watchet Beach is great for fossil hunting, Blue Anchor offers wide open beaches great for children and dogs (access for dogs all year round) and Minehead beach (no dogs allowed from April to end of September).

Being dog owners we appreciate how difficult it can be to find good quality accommodation which allows dogs. We welcome responsible dog owners with up to 2 well behaved dogs. Dogs are required to be kept on a short lead whilst on site. The 2 closest beaches are both dog friendly. We ask that if you do bring your dog(s) on holiday you bring covers for the settees, we appreciate that your pets may be used to sitting comfortably when they are at home and simply ask that you do not allow them onto the furniture without covering first, thank you. We also ask that children and dogs are not left in the caravan unattended. The caravan is thoroughly cleaned between lets.

Arrival time is Friday (some shorter breaks are Monday to Friday) after 2pm. Keys to be collected from check in and returned there at the end of your stay. Departure is by 10am on Friday. Gas and electricity is included in the hire cost, duvet covers and pillow cases are provided. Please note, Haven does not allow stag or hen parties, groups of under 21's or same sex parties (other than family members such as mum, sister, daughters etc).

Activity Fun Works Passes can be purchased at Reception or by contacting Doniford Bay on 01984 632 423. Book these in advance to get a saving from Haven.

A lovely, well presented caravan with everything we needed for our stay. The caravan park is clean and tidy with friendly, helpful staff. The caravan is a very short walk to the beach and the amenities on site. It was great to find somewhere so nice and that we could also take our dog to stay with us. We had excellent communication from the owners. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Great to find accommodation that will take dogs my 2 loved it. Easy access to beaches , local walking areas and towns. Site friendly good shop for basics .With 2 dogs and poor weather didn't use the pub but menu and venue looked good. Caravan was clean good facilities and bedding, did take my own plus covers for settees as took dogs. Used to camping so took toilet rolls etc but think van would have benefited from basics such as toilet roll, kitchen roll, salt, pepper and cleaning materials.Prices very reasonable especially as on my own. Overall had a great stay and will hopefully go again.
