Hideaway is an immaculate, centrally heated, privately owned, 35 x 12 holiday home with its own garden set in a stunning woodland location on the award winning Kelling Heath Holiday Park, voted The Best Holiday Park in the Country 2013. The eco-friendly Park is set in 270 acres of woodland and rare open heathland, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Weybourne and Holt on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. For a holiday where you can do as much or as little as you like and the wildlife visits your front door, this place is second to none. The Park's excellent facilities include:

First class health and leisure centre with indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and gym (2 for 1 Leisure Centre membership available to guests)

Our family friendly accommodation is near to beautiful sandy beaches such as Holkham and Wells next the Sea, lovely seaside towns such as Sheringham and Cromer, pretty Norfolk villages such as Holt and Burnham Market, just a short drive away from RSPB and Heritage coast sites at Blakeney Point and Cley Marshes, several National Trust properties such as Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and surrounded by numerous visitor attractions including the Poppy Steam Train line which has a train halt on the Park and runs a regular service between Holt and Sheringham.

I just wanted to contact you to say thank you so much for letting us stay in Hideaway. We had a wonderful time, in fact Hattie (aged 7) wrote in your visitor book that we "had the time of our lives". Kelling Heath is such a lovely site and in such a lovely location on the Norfolk coast that I don't think you could fail to enjoy yourself. However, being able to stay at Hideaway was the icing on the cake. It is such a lovely holiday home and so well equipped that it made our holiday so much easier than it could've been. And the biscuits on arrival made us feel so welcome!

The whole family really enjoyed our stay, my daughters however, couldn't understand how you could let other people stay as "if it was ours we would be here all the time!" The only disagreement for us was whether next time we should come back to Hideaway or try Breakaway!

Wish I was in plot 12 now - couldn't think of a better place to be when you need a little something - Just to unwind and relax - a pick me up if your down - a place to enjoy being with family/friends - as little or as much as you need - Perfect. Immaculately kept, in a lovely spot on the site, everything you could possibly need has been provided. Will be visiting again.

We're a family of 4 - two adults and two kids (6 and 8) – who’ve not stayed in a static caravan before although we have been to Kelling Heath before in a lodge, so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. I’m happy to report it was a wholly positive experience and we heartily recommend Hideaway. The caravan itself is in a lovely picturesque plot, surrounded by trees and dense forest, and is just a 4-5 minute walk from the Village Square. The fenced off plot has lots of space for the kids to play outside and it’s set back a good 50-60 feet from the track through the park. Hideaway was spotlessly clean when we got there and well furnished with everything we needed for our stay. It made a nice change to find holiday rental place that provided a genuinely good selection of cooking utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans, chopping boards, along with a decent cooker, grill, microwave, 4 slice toaster etc - we were able to make several meals from scratch without issue. With towels and linen provided it meant we had one less thing to worry about and less to pack, and the whole place is furnished very nicely with colourful accents here and there giving it a modern and bright feel throughout. The living, dining and kitchen area is a really good size - plenty of space to chill out, spread out on the sofa and sit back to enjoy the views out the big front full-width windows. In the kitchen, 2 or more people can easily be working away preparing food without bumping into each other all the time. There's plenty of room to pull the dining table out and seat 6 if needed - although I should warn you that the conversation over meals tends to focus on the captivating view out of the portrait window next to the table and the squirrels and deer in the garden! The master bedroom is surprisingly generous, has plenty of storage and hanging space, nice bedside reading lights and handy plugs for charging phones and other devices. The ensuite toilet is a bonus, as is the large bed in which we slept like a log due to it being so lovely and dark outside and no noise apart from the occasional hoot from an owl. The second bedroom was configured with twin beds for our stay and in this layout is snug but perfectly ample. As far as Kelling Heath is concerned, it’s a really great place – a true hidden gem. The facilities onsite are good quality, well maintained, and entirely relevant to the location. The kids absolutely loved the swimming pool and Jacuzzi and spent hours there whilst we either joined them in the water or relaxed on the poolside loungers reading. We had several meals (lunches and dinners) in the restaurant during our stay and all the grub was reasonably priced, hot, tasty and had good portion size. On several days the kids benefitted from free entertainment in the afternoons and evenings – one night we ended up walking back through the forest to Hideaway with 4 massive balloon sculptures! The staff were always kind, approachable and nothing ever seemed like it was too much trouble. The shop had a surprisingly wide range of goods and acted as the local ATM, offering cashback with any purchase. We spent one day happily cycling around following trails both inside and outside the park having hired bikes from the onsite bike centre (very good little company called Huff and Puff). The kids also enjoyed playing on the two mini adventure playgrounds, going for walks through the forest hunting mushrooms and toadstools, and spotting bats flying through the trees at sunset. On another day we took a short drive along the coast to Cromer and went for a wander down the pier and along the beach – there’s a great RNLI lifeboat station and museum there, both of which are well worth a visit – and don’t forget it’s obligatory to have fish and chips when at the seaside! ;-) Great facilities (both in the caravan and within Kelling Heath) meant it felt like a real home from home. It was the perfect location to get away from it all, whilst there still being plenty to do. The location is ideal for using as a base to visit the wealth of other attractions in North Norfolk, including some wonderful beaches. At the end of our stay, everyone in our party agreed that we had had a really enjoyable stay in Hideaway. We were all sad to leave and something tells me we’ll be back before long...highly recommended.
