Holiday Home and Location DetailsWelcome to Sheepfold caravan. Sheepfold is a single private caravan on its own, not over looked by any other vans and in its own enclosure, on the edge of a field with lovely views towards the Langdale hills. There is a picnic table, a BBQ (Bring your own charcoal) and there is a little stream gurgling at the foot of the van. Also next to van is a small shed for extra storage and putting wet outdoor clothing in to drip.
Sleeping 4 there are 2 bedrooms, the main bedroom has a king-size bed, and the 2nd small bedroom has twin beds. The kitchen is well equipped with a full gas cooker and fridge-freezer & there is also a microwave. In the sitting area there is a TV with Freeview and a DVD player & also a Micro Hifi with DAB radio. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash basin. The van is also double glazed and centrally heated, so nice and cosy if the weather is not too good.
Gas and electric are included in the price, also provided are duvets, pillows and bed linen. Towels and tea towels are not included; please bring your own. There are several short walks in the area on footpaths and tracks. As well as longer walks for the more energetic, those take in the Kentmere and Troutbeck valleys. Also there is easy access to roads leading into the heart of the Lakes.
Within easy driving distance are the World of Beatrix Potter, Aquarium of the Lakes, South Lakes Wild Animal Park, the Lakes Steamers, to name but a few. It is also not too long a drive to access the Yorkshire Dales. Or you are welcome to just chill out, you can watch the sheep graze or the grass grow, from your window.
The Watermill Inn in Ings village with its award winning ales and its own microbrewery and serving food, is only a half mile leisurely walk but a little more strenuous walk back to the farm. Other pubs and eateries are in Staveley and Windermere. We are approximately 10 miles away from M6 junction 36. Kendal is 7 miles away,
The van is available SAT-SAT, arrivals 4pm & departures 10am. No Stags or Hens. There is a £50 cash bond to pay on arrival, which will be refunded to you within 7 days of your departure via cheque or direct bank transfer (if there are no breakages or damage) No smoking allowed in the van.

|Comments:||My husband and I had a fabulous time at the caravan. It is centrally based, only 3 miles from Windermere. The caravan has stunning views of the Langdales through it\'s large front windows and it is situated in a private area. Janet was very welcoming. The facilities are very good, huge shower, all the utensils you need, and a delicious cake in the fridge on arrival!. The caravan is very warm and cosy and has proper radiators. I would definitely recommend this caravan to friends and relatives and when we visit the Lake District again we will definitely re book. Thank you Janet|

|Comments:||What a wonderful place to stay, so peaceful and tranquil, and so close to all main places to visit, the caravan was so lovely and the homemade cake on arrival was a lovely gesture and very much enjoyed. Our favorite place was Keswick and the scenery on the journey to there was break taking|

|Comments:||From the first point of contact Janet was efficient and friendly. Emails were replied to very promptly and payment could be made electronically and the booking form scanned and emailed, this made for a quick and efficent way to book our holiday. On arrival we were welcomed by Janet who escorted us to the caravan and explained everything to us. We found the caravan to be spotlessly clean and comfortable, it was very well equipped with the little extras that make all the difference such as tupperware boxes for packed lunches, sandwich bags, clingfilm and foil and even a flask. There was a small bottle of milk in the fridge and a nice surprise beside it, with the note 'enjoy', what a thoughtful touch. There is also a very good sized freezer. There was also a small supply of tea, coffee and sugar just to get you started. As we have been to numerous caravans we always make sure to bring the essentials with us but we have never been to one where so much was made available. Salt, pepper and vinegar were suppled as was washing up liquid and cleaning spray. There was a variety of walks and maps in the drawers, books and games also. The beds were very comfortable and made up ready for us which was lovely. The caravan is situated in a beautiful private position with fantastic views to the Langdale fells, there is an enclosed garden area with a stream trickling through it and a picnic bench and barbecue. The caravan is situated only ten minutes drive to Windermere and fifteen minutes to Kendal, a great position not far from the hustle and bustle yet very peaceful with only the sheep for company. We will definitley return sometime soon. Thank you Janet.|

Janet always makes you feel welcome and the caravan is spotless, spacious and has all the amenities you could possibly need. The location is amazing with breathtaking views of Langdales and countryside. Highly recommended especially as we keep returning each year. You can't relax anywhere nicer.|
