Caravan Park + Local Area Information
|
Felixstowe is a beautiful site for a family holiday, a base for starting the Suffolk Coast or Estuary walks, or crossing to Rotterdam. It is famous for its Fort re-enactments, nature reserves, Sunday market, monthly farmers market, Spa gardens and theatre, and is within easy reach of Ipswich and Woodbridge.
From Easter to October foot/cycle ferries operate over the River Deben to Bawdsey and the River Orwell to Harwich and Shotley allowing you to explore further, or you can stay at the waters edge and enjoy fishing, crabing or the wild life.
The town is a haven of Edwardian architecture, and has a variety of shops, sports and leisure centres, sailing facilities, large and small golf courses, two small cinemas and a host of eating places.
My caravan, which is sited on the quiet Suffolk Sands site, has a wonderful view of the sea, a comprehensive information file of the area, maps, games, puzzles, books, videos, a free view box T.V., and linen, including one towel per guest. There is also outside storage facilities for your bike or fishing gear. Children love the mini bath and many of my guests return each year to explore this wonderful part of Suffolk whilst enjoying their 20% discount.

"A fantastic week. Noticable absence of stalls at Woodbridge market (Thursday). Completed the walk from North Felixstowe to Woodbridge and enjoyed doing the puzzles. All beauty salons in Felixstowe and Walton were fully booked for Friday so we gave each other manicures, massage, reflexology and Reiki."

"Here again, thanks for the lovely comfortable caravan. Great to have satalite T.V,and also the shower is the best caravan shower ever. Managed to fit in trips to Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Snape Maltings. Don't want to go back but sadly we must."

"Site very nice but night time dock works very noisy. Did plenty of walking to the nature reserve and had a meal at The Seal in Woodbridge. Ipswich and Felixstowe town very good shopping. Plenty to do and comforable van but not enough time so hope to return."

"Found the caravan well equipped, the weather wasn't that brilliant but the children loved it and really enjoyed the evening entertainment and toys and videos supplied. The booklets in the yellow folder were extremely helpful and we can recommend Africa Alive. Well worth the 45 minute drive."

"Saw loads of ships including two very large cruise ships - one going to the red sea. Like the new look caravan, especially the kitchen. We saw "Harry" the lobster again, almost caught him but too heavy for the crab line - took the bacon and ran."
