The sea is about a 8 minute walk away. There is a paddling pool area with cafe, childrens amusement park, toilets just before the sea (free). Nearby there is the Eagle Hotel which does entertaining most nights, a restaurant, new fish and chip shop (restaurant).
It is a brisk 10 minute walk tothe town but taxis are reliable and reasonably priced. The Co-op is the main supermarket, although there is a Lidl further down the main street wherey there is a new bowls club, cafe, new library. If you like to venture further afield, Sutton on Sea is a few miles down the coast, followed by Anderby Creek, Chapel St. Leonards, Ingolmells and then Skegness (about 30 minute drive away). For those who like the Wolds there are alot nof lovely villages, walks, the market towns of Alford, Louth, Woodall Spa are steeped in history and have a weekly market.
