Jane & Dennis March 2014
"We walked from Harrietsham mainly along the Pilgrims and North Downs way before arriving at Shottenden. We weren't too sure what to expect but found the site spotlessly clean and delightful. Kate and Alan were very friendly and clearly take great pride in running the place. There are only two mobile homes, one 3 and one 4 person, in a very pleasant paddock type grassed area.
The mobile home was both spacious and immaculate, fresh milk in the fridge, plenty of tea and coffee and a vase of daffodils were most welcome. As it was March we didn't use the outside table and raised decking much, but it would be lovely in summer but instead did enjoy the central heating. The Rose and Crown, good food and beer, is about a mile walk away first along the quiet road and then a good footpath through an orchard. A minor detour leads to the carved pulpit with far reaching views. This is a great place for those looking for a peaceful holiday in unspoilt rural surroundings."

We really enjoyed our stay with you.The caravan was lovely and comfortable and set in private and peaceful surroundings. The surrounding area is very pretty and within easy reach of all seaside places. Once again thank you for a lovely holiday and we will definitely stay with you when we re visit Kent. The bed was very comfortable which is not always the case with Holiday Lets.

Stayed for four nights and wish it could have been longer. The Summer was exactly as advertised and lived up to all the reviews. After a long journey to Kent, we had a warm welcome from Kate and the home made cake was very welcome with a nice cup of tea. There was also a vase of fresh flowers on the table which was a rally nice touch. Great to get up in the morning and watch the rabbits and pheasants together with the sheep. The weather was good but not really warm enough to sit and enjoy the views from the deck however I can imagine it would be super to sit with a drink and enjoy the peace. The caravan was very clean and everything provided for a great stay (would agree with the comment by another person about hooks on the doors but that it is very minor point). All in all we would not hesitate to spend another holiday in this very comfortable caravan in such a beautiful setting.
