Caravan Park + Local Area Information
|
Included in the price of your stay at this immaculate top-of-the-range caravan are the essentials of gas, electricity and hot water. Please note that good quality bed linen can be provided for an additional charge of Ł10 to cover my laundry costs on the park. If I supply linen then beds will also be made up prior to guests arrival.
Our caravan is located on a quiet part of the holiday park and has a decked verandah (with patio furniture) which enables splendid views of the North Sea. The nearby local beach is sure to be a hit with both young and old members of the family and access to it is literally a few strides away. A large cave carved out of the cliff face and the many rock pools exposed when the tide goes out will grab the interest of all those budding explorers. Further round the cliff path there is another large sandy beach area with nearby access to a childrens play area with chute, swings etc. Depending on your holiday dates you might even be fortunate enough to see young seal pups resting on the rocks awaiting their mother's return from feeding during the breeding season.
The caravan is presented for hire at the same high standards set for our own family holidays so is indeed like a home from home. As a result we ask our guests to be respectful and considerate when using our caravan and to remember at all times it is a personal holiday home. As such there are extras included that would not be provided as standard in some accommodation and these all add to the comfort and enjoyment of your well deserved break.
Berwick Holiday Park has plenty of activities to provide fun and amusement for all the family both day and night. Its location is ideal for a relaxing holiday and is within short walking distance of local amenities. These include the main-line train station and town centre, which contains various high-street stores, local shops and supermarkets. An outdoor market is also held on the main shopping thoroughfare twice weekly and offers a wide variety of goods. In addition there is a varied choice of venues where guests can enjoy a meal or have a refreshment away from the park itself.
The surrounding Northumberland area contains various tourist attractions such as nearby Holy Island. Further down the A1 is Alnwick Castle (aka Hogwarts School by Harry Potter fans) and its associated gardens which contains one of the largest tree houses in the world. There are also additional beautiful beaches within a short driving distance of the town for you to visit.
The local lifeboat station tend to hold a fete each year and combine this with the volunteer crew taking part in a mock exercise to provide spectators with an insight in to the work they do. Local coastguard are sometimes involved as well and a helicopter may also be there to show how they carry out search and rescue. Therefore this can be an enjoyable day out for all irrespective of the weather.
For those holidaymakers looking for a bit of retail therapy both Edinburgh and Newcastle are within reasonable driving distance. Both cities provide fantastic shopping opportunities plus additional tourist attractions to suit all ages.
