Main Description
This family-owned caravan is tucked into a corner on a small, well-kept, peaceful site. Children are very welcome and/or one small, well-behaved dog. A 5 minute walk through a wooded area takes you to the 8 miles of sandy beach (part of which allows dogs all year round), with its rock pools, cliffs containing fossils, a pier and promenade and all the usual seaside amenities such as surf hire, coffee shops and an amusement arcade.

A cliff lift takes you back up the delightful Victorian town of Saltburn with its railway station, cliff top walk with spectacular views and a bandstand. There is a supermarket and many other shops, including high-end market souvenir/gift/art studios/clothes shops and a selection of restaurants/take-a-ways. The local fish and chips are to die for! A Farmers' Market is held on the second Saturday of the month.

A miniature railway line runs along Valley Gardens, which is a great haven for wildlife, trees and plants. The valley contains an adventure playground, formal Italian Gardens, a tea shop and viaduct. A 10-15 minute drive takes you to the stunning, rugged scenery of the North York Moors - great walking country.

Saltburn is also a short drive from other attractions such as quaint Staithes, Runswick Bay and the popular and busy port of Whitby. Trains from Saltburn are just 30 minutes to Teeside and the shopping centre of Middlesbrough.
