Caravan Park + Local Area Information
|
Snowland Leisure Park is located in the seaside village of Par on South Cornwall's coast, only 10 minutes walk from Par Sands; a wide sandy beach which offers uncrowded bathing at all states of the tide.
The acclaimed Eden Project is also only 10 minutes away. The local shops are within flat walking distance of the Park which is ideally situated for exploring Cornwall's many major tourist attractions, from the Theme Parks of Dobwalls, Flambards and Paradise Park to the National Trust properties of Lanhydrock, St Michael's Mount and Cotehele and, of course the Cornish beaches.
Par is situated in St Austell Bay where there are many historic sites, sheltered beaches and inviting waters. The great sweep of the bay plays host to a vivid range of scenery, spectacle and activity that makes this an ideal touring centre within an hour's drive of most major attractions in the County.
The small port of Charlestown is nearby and has changed little since it's completion in 1795. The Shipwreck and Heritage centre is situated in the harbour and is well worth a visit. The fishing village of Mevagissey and the still smaller haven of Gorran are the very essence of a Cornwall, which has remained true to its roots. Mevagissey's labyrinth of tiny streets, twist and turn past ancient dwarf buildings of cob and slate central to the twin harbours.
Fowey is 4 miles from Par and holds Medieval and Tudor cottages and narrow steep winding streets with glimpses of the shimmering river below. Fowey Regatta Week is held in August and the nationally acclaimed Eden Project is only 10 minutes away, of course there are many more places to explore and Par is an ideal location to either relax on site or to jump in the car and drive off to sample the Cornish charm.
