Welcome to Low Glengyre Farm where the tranquility of the Southern Uplands will meet you on arrival! Sit in the living room, viewing the hills overlooking Loch Ryan and feel your holiday has just begun.
The Caravan....
The caravan is situated on a family-run dairy farm 7 miles from the town of Stranraer.
The caravan is fully equipped with everything you require for a 'home away from home'. To aide your hassle-free holiday, bed linen and towels are included in the price. And for the parents - a travel cot and highchair are available on request with no extra charge! Worried about the electricity and gas charge - don't be, it's included in the price too. Not only that, pets are welcome too.
Ever dreamed of truly enjoying the countryside - take the opportunity to feed our free-range hens, lift the eggs, try feeding the calves and explore the untouched glen located on your doorstep.
The children are welcome to use the children's slide and swings or play in the play house located in the garden next to the caravan.
We have a selection of home-grown vegetables, home-made soups, free range eggs & home-made jam available for sale also.
About the Area....
The local area attractions are mainly focused on nature and the countryside. Whether your interest is gardening, walking, golfing, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery around you, your needs will be met here!
The area has some exceptional sub-tropical gardens - Logan Botanic Gardens, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Ardwell Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens & Dunskey Gardens. In addition, there are some beautiful sandy beaches in the area for the children ....and the young at heart!!
More traditional tourist attractions include Port Logan Fish Pond - Marine Life Centre, Creetown Gem Rock Museum, Bladnoch Distillery, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Glenluce Abbey & Monreith Animal World. Of course, you are also only a 'hop, skip & a jump' from Northern Ireland and the ferry companies offer some excellent day trips to Ireland.
The main problem with this part of Scotland is that once you stay here, you won't want to go home!!

"A peaceful & quiet location with beautiful views from the caravan. Lots of stunning countryside and beautiful clean sandy beaches, all of which are within easy reach of Stranraer. It was a joy to be so close, in fact inside, a working dairy farm where we learned much about dairy farming from the delightful & helpful owners. The caravan was spotless and contained everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We intend returning next year. P.S. We will miss feeding and hearing the hens!"
