Kelling Heath is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the north Norfolk coast and is set in 250 acres of woodland, heathland, wetland and ponds. Parts of the park have panoramic views of the north Norfolk coast.
At Kelling, there is a range of self-guided walks, cycling trails and a fitness trail that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. The site has a modern gym / indoor fitness centre with large pool (charges apply), an outdoor pool, a fully stocked shop, bistro resaturant and a bar, sometimes with entertainment. There are two outdoor tennis courts.
Nearby there is the famous Poppy Line, the North Norfolk Steam Railway, that runs through the outskirts of the site and which has a halt on the site, allowing steam train access to Sheringham and Holt. The village of Weybourne has a pebbled beach and cliffs, and there are sandy beaches at Sheringham and Cromer. The North Norfolk Coastal Path runs from before Salthouse, through Weybourne and on to Sheringham and beyond. Sheringham Park (National Trust) is an easy walk away, with its picturesque grounds, arboretum and shrubs, and the 'rhododendron walk' - spectacular in Spring.
The lovely Georgian market town of Holt is nearby, with lots of interesting shops, antiques, places to eat and a world class delicatessan. Weybourne Windmill, The Muckleburgh Collection, East Runton and Cromer golf clubs and the "Splash" wave pool at Sheringham are also nearby.
A little further away are the saltmarshes of Cley and Salthouse, with their bird sanctuaries, the seal sanctuary at Blakeney, and the Michelin starred Morston Hall Hotel. Wells and Holkham Hall and beach are just a little further along. Inland, Norwich is about 15 miles away, and the Norfolk Broads a similar distance. Historic Fakenham is a 20 minute drive.
The area is one of exceptional beauty with a great deal of local interests, and the emphasis at Kelling Heath is on conservation and natural surroundings, having won several awards.
