A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE AREA . . .
This is an area of the Scottish Highlands rich in history, blessed with stunning scenery and serviced by excellent visitor amenities all offering outstanding, warm hospitality.
Less than 2 hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh, Glencoe & Loch Leven offers, without a doubt, some of the finest scenery in Europe.
Glencoe is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Recently voted one of the Seven Wonders of Scotland
The perfect base for exploring the West Highlands by car.
A fantastic range of family activities.
Outstanding low level walking including access to the West Highland Way.
New cycle path recently constructed on part of the old Ballachulish to Oban rail line. Stunning coastal route in parts...beautiful.
Great mountaineering opportunities with 43 Munro Mountains within 15 miles.
Year-round attractions including winter skiing and snowboarding and in spring and summer, fishing, sailing and watersports.
Excellent eating and shopping experiences.
Relaxation and tranquillity including stressbusting leisure activities.
Highlander, Braveheart, RobRoy and many more films, including the latest Harry Potter have been made here, drawn to the area by the spectacular scenery.
With more history, drama and sheer natural ability to entertain than really seems fair, Glencoe is without doubt one of Europe's scenic highlights. But the famous pass is only the beginning. From the infamous 1692 Massacre of Glencoe to the scene of the Appin Murder which inspired Robert Louis Stevenson to write 'Kidnapped'. From the enchantment of Eilean Munde, the burial isle to the village of Glencoe, Ballachulish and Onich, to the romance of the Lochan trail. It's easy to see why seasoned visitors would keep this wonderful place a secret if they could.
For those of us fortunate enough to live here, we welcome you to share our enthusiasm for what we have.

"Just a quick note to say thanks. We recently stayed in Rowan and had a great time everything was perfect, from booking to leaving. Rowan is very well equipped, clean and homely. It also made a change that our children were able to play without restrictions in a clean and safe environment, we would have no problem in recommending Glencoe Croft Holidays."
