Martello Beach near Pevensey Bay on the outskirts of Eastbourne is a very pleasant site owned by Haulfryn. All caravans are privately owned.
Our caravan has a cosy open plan lounge and kitchen area. Fully equippped with tv/dvd books to read and childrens games. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms and all beds are made up for your arrival at no extra charge.
There is a white verandah with table and chairs and lighting for the evening. There is a storage box with buckets and spades for the beach and 2 sunbeds.
Martello Beach Park has a clubhouse with full restaurant facilities, a heated indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and sauna, a separate gym, an indoor softball play area for the small children, a football pitch and a basketball net for the older ones.
There is a 9 hole golf course next door to the site plus several 18 hole ones close by. Plus is sea or fresh water angling.
2010 Events.
In August(12th-15th) we have our Annual Airbourne Show the largest free Airshow in the country. In June(June 12th) there is the International Ladies Tennis Week at Devonshire Park.August 22nd is International Downhill Skateboarding which is really very good and part of Extreme sports Week.
You are welcome to bring cycles as there are wonderful rides along the seafront and the South Downs. There's plenty to see and visit in the area especially the Minature Railway which has Thomas the Tank Engine Days, and Drusillas Park and Zoo where there is loads for the children to do.
Just outside the main entrance is a bus stop and in 10 minutes you can be in Eastbourne with its beautiful promenade and pier, shops, restaurants, theatres and nightclubs. Two minutes away is a retail park of shops and a 24hr Asda. Adjoining this is the Sovereign Harbour also with shops, restaurants and multi-plex cinema.
Within a 25 mile radius are castles and historic towns, Brighton with its famous Pavilion, and Hastings and Rye in the other direction. Or walk over the Downs or along the coastal path which has magnificent views, returning to relax on site
