Caravan Park + Local Area Information
|
Elie Holiday Park previously known as Shell Bay Caravan Park is situated at Shell Bay near the Fife town of Elie, in the heart of the East Neuk of Fife. The site is bordered by the beach on one side and the forest on the other. Nearby towns include Leven, Anstruther, St Andrews, Kirkcaldy and Dundee.
New to the site and opening in April 2011 is the Robinson Crusoe Adventure Park. Overlooking the beautiful private beach at Shell Bay. The adventure playground is set around a two-masted sailing ship that has been shipwrecked on a remote deserted island. The children will be able to climb the rigging, scale the poop deck and crawl along the cage to the Island of Despair. It mixes the treasures of nature with the excitement of play. An unforgettable time for you, your children and your grandchildren, with all the creations there for you to enjoy.
For those looking for historical interests, in Dundee, visit The Discovery museum or head into St Andrews to look at the ruins.
If you prefer getting back to nature, there are local farms where you can pick your own fruit or visit the farm animals. There are also many restaurants in the surrounding areas offering great food.
For days exploring on-site, pull on your wellies, grab a fishing net and head down to the beach and look in the rock pools. If you're lucky, you may even see the sea lions bobbing in the sea near the rocks.
There are beautiful scenic walks, with recognised coastal walks, the most popular one being The Fife Coastal Path, taking you right through the caravan site to Largo Bay. This is a popular location for nature walks and bird watching enthusiasts and always popular with dog owners.
A short walk into the town of Elie offers cosy local pubs and restaurants and some watersports are available in Elie Harbour. There are also numerous golf courses in the surrounding area.
There is a fun pool at Leven with a flume, jets and wave machines or a large swimming pool in Kirkcaldy. Craigtoun Park in St Andrews is a large park with a miniature railway, boating and ducks to feed.
We offer a large comfortable caravan with facilities available to ensure a relaxing holiday for all the family. There is a gas fire in the lounge and electric heaters throughout the caravan. The caravan is situated facing the on-site beach (we are in the front row) and nearby swings are visible from the lounge window.
On site, visit Ruddons Family Bar for a drink with friends and enjoy first class entertainment. The Kincraig View restaurant is open for breakfasts, lunch and evening meal, all at reasonable prices.
* If bringing pets, please bring own pet bedding. Pets must not be left unattended in the Caravan at any time.

"A quick message of thanks for a great weekend in your lovely caravan. It was spotlessly clean and far more luxurious than we expected. Our boys were particularly excited, and we all wish to return for a longer holiday in the future.
Thanks again and all the very best."

"Just to say thank you for making our holiday so stress free by means of your superb child friendly caravan. Very well equipped and we were amazed how careful you were with the option of secure locks on the cupboard doors etc. Very spacious and on those rainy days plenty to keep the children amused as well as the adults with great DVDs."
