Hillside Hideaway – Terms and Conditions

Deposits and Payments

1. A provisional booking with the CARAVAN will only be accepted as a booking once a £50 deposit (BOOKING DEPOSIT) has been paid. This must be paid when making a provisional booking, or the CARAVAN OWNERS reserve the right to cancel your provisional booking and making the CARAVAN available for the dates you requested. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

2. The FINAL BALANCE is due 28 days prior to arrival, if the balance is not received within this timeframe, the CARAVAN OWNERS reserve the right to hire the caravan to someone else. Bookings taken with less than 28 days remaining can only be accepted if payment is made in full at the point of booking.

3. A SECURITY DEPOSIT of £50 is added onto the cost of the HIRE, and is held as a refundable security bond. This SECURITY DEPOSIT is fully refundable at the end of the hire period and returned within seven days of departure date. The SECURITY DEPOSIT is refundable to the card or method of payment used to pay the FINAL BALANCE.

4. The CARAVAN OWNERS reserve the right to withhold some or the entire SECURITY DEPOSIT and /or bill the HIRER for the additional cost of: a) replacing and/or repairing all damage above general wear and tear b) all breakages c) charge for extra cleaning of the caravan if needed, or removing stains professionally or replacing as new. All breakages, damage and stains above general wear and tear within the CARAVAN must be paid for.

5. The HIRER must inform the CARAVAN OWNERS within 12 hours of arrival, of all defects, inventory shortages and/or breakages. Failure to do so will result in the HIRER being responsible.


6. In the event of a cancellation, the HIRER must confirm this in writing to the CARAVAN OWNERS. BOOKING DEPOSITS are not refundable in the event of a cancellation.

7. No refund will be made to the HIRER whose hiring has commenced and who vacates the CARAVAN for any reason including an emergency at home.

8. Any of the FINAL BALANCE that has been paid will only be considered for refunds in certain circumstances at the CARAVAN OWNERS discretion and subject to the time remaining to the holiday and a replacement booking being obtained.

General booking conditions

9. Bookings will only be accepted from HIRERS who are twenty-one (21) years of age and over. Same sex groups will only be accepted at the CARAVAN OWNERS discretion.

10. Only the persons on the booking form may stay at the CARAVAN. Over occupancy will not be tolerated.

11. All changes to a booking are only allowed by prior agreement with the CARAVAN OWNERS and only if confirmed in writing.

12. The HIRER is responsible for the conduct of all persons listed on the booking form.

13. Each person listed on the booking form and your guest(s)/visitor(s) must be prepared to identify themselves to the park owners or their staff upon request and comply with their reasonable requirements.

14. The HIRER shall notify the CARAVAN OWNERS in writing with any changes to person(s) listed on the booking form at the earliest possible opportunity and in any event, prior to arrival at the holiday park.

15. The hirer must give access to the CARAVAN as / when required to the CARAVAN OWNERS, holiday park owners and their staff / agents.

16. The CARAVAN OWNERS reserve the right to refuse any booking without any obligation to give a reason, and / or reserve the right to terminate any booking for whatever reason at their absolute discretion.

Main Description
Hillside Hideaway is a cute and cosy caravan, set in the stunning Purbeck countryside. Within easy reach of the Victorian seaside resort of Swanage, the historic village of Corfe Castle, as well as numerous smaller villages, the Hideaway is a perfect base for a family holiday. Swanage Bay View caravan park has plenty of facilities, including a restaurant, a gym, a swimming pool and evening entertainment. The park also has lots of children’s entertainment as well, giving you a chance to relax!

The caravan itself sleeps 4 adults and 2 children, with a peaceful master bedroom, a cute twin bedroom and a pull out double sofa bed in the living area. The caravan is situated high up on the hill, meaning there are some lovely views of the Purbecks and the sea from the living area, however it is surrounded by greenery, meaning you retain privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped for 6 people, and there is a lovely dining table, so you and your family can enjoy cooking and eating meals together. The Hideaway has been decorated in a cute but quirky style, which gives it much more character than is normally found in caravans!

We’ve provided books, DVDs and games to keep the family entertained if the weather lets you down, and there is a TV with Freeview in the living area. The outside area is perfect for enjoying the evening sun, and is big enough to enjoy BBQs outside. Full of plants and greenery, it really is the perfect place to relax!

We offer a welcome hamper, as well as the option to purchase a luxury hamper to await you. We also welcome dogs, and even leave them some little surprises. All linen is included (minus towels), and there is WiFi available in the reception area of the caravan park.
