Main Description
Murmur yr Mor is a beautiful almost new 3 bedroom static caravan for holiday rental just outside Barmouth in Gwynedd.

In an elevated position it has fabulous views over the sea and up towards the Lleyn Peninsula. On a clear day you can even see down to South Wales. If you are lucky you might also see the dolphins playing near the shore.

It is sited in the Hendre Coed Isaf holiday park which has a restaurant with a fabulous reputation, a bar, games room, children’s play area, laundry and even an outdoor pool (in the summer months).

It is fully equipped, double glazed and has full central heating. It has a double bedroom at one end and 2 twin bedrooms at the other, It has a shower room (with loo) which can serve as an ensuite to the double bedroom and also a separate loo near the two twin bedrooms. There is a large lounge area with TV (inc Freeview) and CD/DVD player. The Kitchen area has a full sized fridge/freezer, full hob & oven, microwave, kettle, slow cooker & toaster. The dining table seats 6 comfortably.
Bed linen, tea towels and hand towels are provided - all you need are your personal bath/beach towels.

The outside patio area has table, chairs and parasol and is fenced & gated so is safe for children and dogs. In the evenings you can just sit and chill with a glass or two and listen to the murmur yr mor (whisper of the sea!).

We do welcome well behaved small to medium sized dogs (max. 2) and responsible dog owners. However we don’t allow any other kind of pet. Please bring a bed or blanket for your dog(s) to lie on and PLEASE do not allow them onto the furniture or beds. We would be grateful if you would remove all dog hair from the carpet before you leave. There is a good dog walking area at the bottom of the site but please act responsibly and dispose of any dog poo in the bins provided. We will also leave a small supply of poo bags for your use.
Do not leave your dog(s) unattended in the caravan AT ANY TIME. There is a dog friendly area in the restaurant/bar on site and most of the cafes/pubs and many of the restaurants in Barmouth also allow dogs.

This area boasts many fantastic beaches (Barmouth beach is just a 10 minute walk away) and the Mawddach Estuary which runs from Dolgellau to Barmouth is reported to be one of the most beautiful in Britain.

Also if you like walking then you won't be disappointed with some of the walks you can do locally. For the more adventurous, Cader Idris is just across the estuary and Snowdon about an hour away.

The 'Rock' behind Barmouth is the first piece of land gifted to the National Trust - this is known as Dinas Oleu (Citadel of Light) and well worth a visit for the view.

Barmouth itself hosts a great range of independent shops (as well as a Co-op, Spar and Iceland), many eateries and bars. It is famous for having the longest wooden built rail bridge (over the Estuary).
You can walk or cycle across the bridge and follow the Mawddach trail up to Dolgellau.

Fishing & sightseeing trips run from Barmouth harbour and there are many small ferries which run across the water to Fairbourne where you can ride on the Steam Railway.

Within a very short drive (or train ride) are
Harlech with its castle where often the Ardudwy Knights can be seen
Portmeirion (the Italian Village) - for those oldies like me you may remember this is where the cult series 'The Prisoner' was filmed
Porthmadog with the Welsh Mountain & Festiniog Steam Railways, picturesque harbour and even more independent shops - as well as Tesco, Aldi & Lidl

Plus lots more in the area including slate mines, King Arthur's Labyrynth & Centre for Alternative Technology.

If you don’t feel like driving or are arriving by train, there is a bus stop right outside the site and LLanaber rail station is close by.

In November my wife and I had a lovely 3 night stay at Murmur yr Mor. Its a gorgeous 3 bedroom very high quality mobile holiday home with all the comforts of home and more, set on a select pitch that has stunning views over the sea giving fantastic sunsets. We found it to be fully equipped with all mod-cons including TV-freeview and Wifi, also it being double glazed with full central heating it was snug and warm on the colder nights so should be good for winter getaways. So a big thank you to S&S for making our stay so welcoming - we will definitely be coming back to stay here again. G&G

What a fantastic caravan!! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our holiday. When we arrived, the caravan was immaculate and ready for us to move in every way. The caravan is very clean, modern and well equipped and decorated. The longer side of the caravan is facing sea means you can get the spectacular view from almost all rooms. Kids enjoyed their stay in the caravan and had a fabulous holiday. Sandi and Simon were very helpful and even offered us late check out free of charge !!!. I would highly recommend this caravan to any one and thank you Sandi & Simon for letting us stay in your caravan and it made our holiday perfect.
