Caravan Park + Local Area Information
|
Hayling Island is one of the jewels on the South Coast, with so much to see and do both on and off the island. Local facilities include Blue Flag beaches, wind surfing, kite surfing, a small gauge railway runs all year round from the funfair to South Bay. The Hayling Billy walk follows the old mainline railway track, long since unused,from West Town through the nature reserve and oyster beds right up to the picturesque Langstone Harbour.
There are many shops on both sides of the park within easy walking distance and a large Tesco store in Havant, just off the Island. Other places of interest nearby are Portsmouth Naval dockyard and Gun Wharf Quay for shopping. Chichester is 20 mins drive away with pedestrian shopping and the Festival Theatre. For the enthusiast, Goodwood racecourse is also about 20/30 mins from the Park.
In addition there are several takeaway restaurants in the area as well as some very good pubs serving home cooked food daily, The Ship at Langstone Harbour, The Maypole, The Yew Tree and the carvery at the Barley Mow in Manor Road, near the caravan park,and the Inn on the Beach with its upstairs restuarant providing wonderful views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
All booking dates are 7 days Saturday to Saturday.
4 day breaks are available Tuesday to Saturday.
3 day breaks are available Saturday to Tuesday.
Hire charges for short breaks are available on request
