Sewerby Hall and Gardens<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sewerby Hall<\/a><\/strong> is a Grade I listed Georgian country house set in 50 acres of landscaped gardens in the village of Sewerby. 2 miles from Bridlington, Sewerby Hall attracts over 150,000 visitors every year. The hall houses the Museum of East Yorkshire, including a room dedicated to Amy Johnson, and the Coastguard Museum. In the grounds of the hall, you\u2019ll be able to visit the small zoo and aviary<\/strong> as well as an 18-hole putting green, 9-hole Pitch and putt. As well as tourist activities, the hall also hosts many local community events. The home ground of Sewerby Cricket Club is situated within the grounds, near the clifftop. This destination really has something for everyone!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Flamborough Lighthouse <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lighthouse Road, Flamborough, YO15 1AR
Flamborough Head Lighthouse<\/a><\/strong> is an active lighthouse in Flamborough. The Lighthouse acts as a waypoint for passing deep-sea vessels and coastal traffic and marks Flamborough Head for vessels heading to Scarborough and Bridlington. The lighthouse offers a great view of the coast<\/strong> with many coastal paths and walks culminating at the lighthouse. Once you\u2019ve taken a stroll around and taken in the views, you can relax with a hot drink or snack from the onsite cafe. Popular with both locals and tourists, Flamborough Lighthouse is great for a family day out or a nice romantic stroll along Flamborough head, finishing off at the lighthouse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

North Landing Beach<\/strong> (Flamborough) <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

North Landing Beach in Flamborough is a small, picturesque beach flanked by stunning chalk cliffs and backed by grassy hills. The beach is situated in a natural cove on the north side of the Flamborough headland, about 7 miles south-east of Reighton. A mix of soft sand and pebbles, at low tide the beach is a great place to hunt for marine wildlife in the rockpools. You can access North Landing Beach from the reasonably-priced car park at the end of the B1255, where you\u2019ll also find toilets and a caf\u00e9. Visitors should take note that the descent to the beach from the car park is quite steep and may be difficult for those with mobility problems. Dogs are also allowed on the beach<\/strong> so feel free to bring along your furry friends! Perfect for anyone looking for a quiet day at the beach without crowds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bridlington Beach<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bridlington, YO15 2LS
Split across the North and South beaches, Bridlington Beach is a must-visit on your trip to East Yorkshire. Bridlington<\/a><\/strong> North Beach currently holds the seaside award which is presented to the best beaches in England. The beach is a sand and shingle beach which is surrounded by wide promenades. Bridlington itself is the ideal location to relax<\/strong>, take in the scenery and watch the hustle and bustle of the busy harbour. You\u2019ll also find donkey rides which are available on both the South and North Beach. Beach Chalets are also available to hire, perfect for warm sunny days filled with sunbathing and sand-free sandwiches! Both the North and South beaches have lifeguards and first aid stations, with RNLI Lifeguards on duty across the beach. With plenty of parking at either the North or South Beach, you\u2019re sure to have a fun-filled day!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Located in Bridlington<\/a><\/strong>, Fraisthorpe Beach is a flat, sandy beach which forms part of Bridlington Bay. This beach is perfect for walking, with dogs allowed all year round. It is also a good beach for horse riding, particularly in the quieter months of the year. In the summer, Fraisthorpe is a popular spot for taking a dip in the North Sea<\/strong>, although there is no lifeguard service. The beach is backed by low clay cliffs and as you head north of the beach there are some spectacular views and cliff-top scenery to take in. Visitors have the option of pay-for parking available at Auburn Farm which is very slightly raised from the level of the beach.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Deep<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Deep<\/a><\/strong> is one of the UK’s most spectacular aquariums, with over 3500 fish, stunning marine life and plenty of activities<\/strong> for all the family. The aquarium uses a combination of hands-on interactive displays, audiovisual presentations, and living exhibits to tell the story of the world’s oceans. The museum includes a series of exhibits presenting a chronological journey from the beginning of time through the present-day oceans. There is also an interactive area where visitors can learn to control an underwater diving vessel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The park is an award-winning, family-owned business with lots to offer for a fun-filled family day out. There is a great range of birds including Parrots, Falcons and Owls to see. Visitors can also see animals including Zebra, Marmosets, Civets, Wallabies, Meerkats, Raccoons, Camels, Porcupines and lots more furry friends. With a daily timetable including flying demonstrations, feeding and animal handling, you can also book in for a range of experiences for all ages including Meet the Meerkats, and an owl experience. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

RSPB Bempton Cliffs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bempton Cliffs<\/a><\/strong>, on the spectacular Yorkshire coast, is home to one of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles. Around half a million seabirds gather here between March and October to raise a family on towering chalk cliffs which overlook the North Sea. Between March and October gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, herring gulls, fulmars and shags make their home here and, between April-July, puffins join the throng. It\u2019s an unforgettable sight. Six, safe viewpoints perch on the cliff tops and give incredible views of the nesting birds and along the impressive coastline. Viewpoint volunteers are on hand to help identify the different species and point out the action.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
