“We have used your site previously and have been very satisfied with the accommodation ,but we have been very disappointed this time.”
The instructions on arrival stated that if you manage to park in the first 3 parking spaces({which we couldnt) the van is up 3 steps then onto the grass between the caravans. It is up 5 concrete steps, along a concrete path ,passing some-ones van then across the grass then alongside the van to the entrance steps. Failing that - which we had to do- you parked around the other side to the next available parking spaces ,then up 2 sets of 5 concrete steps and across grass to the van entrance. As Devon was the start of a three week holiday ,we had quite a bit of luggage, which my wife had to mostly carry herself as I am disabled and couldnt help her much.
On entering the van, we found it dirty in places, stains and dirty marks on the walls in the hallway, on the main bedroom walls by the bed sides, by the dining area, and also blue toothpaste stains on the right side wall of the sink. All these were easily removed with a cloth and cleaning spray.(which I did) There was also dark pubic hairs along the outer rim of the shower tray. We paid £50. cleaning fee! though the next occupants would have found it spotless!
The settee and chair had both seen better days - throwing a blanket over them, does not hide what is underneath.
As for the outside furniture (?) 4 rusty fold up chairs and a table - Ive seen better ones for sale at my local tip
The vacuum cleaner provided was difficult to use, so we used my small hand one I use for the car and was disgusted by the amount of dirt ,dog hairs and long human hairs that filled the drum, from the carpets
Also the grill tray was unusable as it was full of grease and melted cheese ,and by the looks of it not just from the previous occupants of us.
