“We loved this caravan.”

It is a short walk up 1 small steep hill to the main complex so was brilliant. From the bottom of that hill you lose the main complex wifi signal meaning when in the van we didn't have wifi, but to be honest this wasn't a problem as we actually liked the fact that we had some peace and quiet and our girls (1 and 6 years) aren't reliant on tablets for entertainment, if we needed signal we walked up the road a litte and voila. The van was close to the parking bays so didn't have to carry bags far ...

From the bottom of that hill you lose the main complex wifi signal meaning when in the van we didn't have wifi, but to be honest this wasn't a problem as we actually liked the fact that we had some peace and quiet and our girls (1 and 6 years) aren't reliant on tablets for entertainment, if we needed signal we walked up the road a litte and voila. The van was close to the parking bays so didn't have to carry bags far and it was also tucked in between other vans which meant that where it was had no through traffic and was peaceful and quiet. There was a lovely view of the ocean in the distance as well. The van was very very clean and there was everything in there that you could need, we had a highchair free of charge for our little one which was perfect. The van doesn't have central heating so we would leave the fire on low and pop the bedroom heaters on if we needed to. We did come the first week of Easter and it was very wet and cold/windy but we were warm enough. The previous comments made from people that stayed here the week before seem very harsh to me and we did not experience any of the issues that they claim. There was a variety of games that the girls enjoyed playing with and these were orderly and clean. This van was a MASSIVE SAVING compared to others and Haven's own site. We purchased the passes separately and still saved hundreds of pounds. We have now booked up in this same van for Easter 2025 and can't wait to come back. It was a lot cleaner than actual Haven owened vans that we have used in the past. Thanks so much. Marie and family.

“Sadly we were disappointed with our stay.”

The caravan was adequate and comfortable however we found the cleanliness to be poor. The sink area was left dirty and full of grime. There was an area of children’s toys which were also very dirty with dirty food wrappers inside. The caravan was also very cold and we struggled to heat it adequately however I appreciate the weather outside was very cold which obviously contributed to this. Our biggest criticism was the complete lack of communication from the owner. We attempted to make several attempts to get in touch prior to our arrival to enquire about haven passes. These were constantly ignored despite emails, telephone calls and answer phone messages. Eventually we received the information we required to book park passes but at this point a lot of the activities were fully booked which was disappointing. The booking also specified WiFi included. We made multiple attempts to contact the owner while away to ask about the WiFi and all of which were completely ignored! The telephone contact provided for emergency use is not answered nor are emails and text messages. The caravan did not have WiFi despite advertising that it does. We were extremely dissatisfied with our stay and even left a day early. We would not recommend this caravan/ owner to others. The site in itself is lovely with excellent facilities.

I am really sorry you didnt find everything as you would have liked. I do have to say though I dont agree with the review at all. Main reasons are the owners hadn't rented out prior to your stay you were the first guests of the season and I myself went into their caravan and it was immaculate and they own their own cleaning business and it was sparkling clean and definitely no sweet wrappers or dirt anywhere at all. This caravan is loved by lots of repeat guests and from past experiences from them I have heard its warm enough although a caravan can get cold in the colder/damper weather We emailed the wifi password and communicated with them as they were insistent they had paid for wifi but in fact it is complimentary so we did email them the wifi code The Haven link we have found does go into most peoples junk folder so we do now ask guests to check there as we do register all bookings but sometimes these are missed. Once again I appreciate your review Property Owner

The property

Brand New 2018 3 bedroom deluxe plus model caravan on Elms is available to hire at Haven Devon Cliffs, Sandy Bay, Exmouth. It is a 2018 model and a full inventory can be found in the caravan ensuring you have the best holiday.

It is well loved and cared for by its private owner.

We now provide complimentary wifi subject to signal strength/availability. We are child friendly and can provide a high chair, travel cot and bedsides for your use at no extra cost. Lounge - There is a large amount of wrap around seating in the lounge, electric fire, DVD player and tv. Kitchen - Under counter fridge, microwave, 4 ring hob and oven.

All utensils are provided including all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Dining Area - Freestanding table with fixed seating and extra stools. Bedrooms - The main bedroom has a double bed.

The other bedrooms have 2 x twin beds which can be pushed together to create a double bed.

Also bed settee in the lounge.

Sleeps up to 8. The caravan comes with duvets and pillows for the beds but you must bring your own bottom sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases unless the linen option is purchased. Bed linen is not provided but we are able to provide linen and beds made up for your arrival at a small additional cost if required. Please also bring with you tea towels, washing up liquid, sponges and toilet paper etc. Bathroom - Fully fitted shower, toilet and wash basin.

There is also a separate toilet and wash basin. Situation - The caravan is situated on Elms 4-5 mins walk to the complex.

Parking area is located very close to the caravan. The keys for the caravan are in a key safe located at the caravan and you will be issued with the key code prior to your holiday so no queuing at reception.

Check in is 3pm and check out time is 10am on the day of departure. THE PRICES FOR THE BREAKS IS ACCOMMODATION ONLY AND DOESNT INCLUDE HAVEN SITE PASSES

On the eastern bank of the estuary of the River Exe, Exmouth has everything required by the visitor for a relaxing break. A thriving coastal town with a nationally renowned bird sanctuary, close to miles of sandy beaches, superb coastal walking, with everything for the fisherman and sailor, close to Exeter and with much to do and see - this all contributes to the town’s attraction.
