The property

This well‑presented two‑bedroom mid‑lounge caravan offers a comfortable and practical base for a seaside break, set just a short stroll from the shores of Loch Ryan.

Ideal for couples, friends or small families, it provides a welcoming layout that makes it easy to settle in and unwind. Inside, the caravan features two thoughtfully arranged bedrooms—a double and a twin—each benefitting from its own en‑suite shower room with WC.

This added privacy is especially convenient for groups sharing, ensuring everyone has their own space without compromise. The central lounge area creates a sociable hub to relax after a day exploring, while the adjoining kitchen space comes well equipped for preparing simple meals during your stay. Outside, parking is available, and the property welcomes pets, so four‑legged companions are free to join the getaway too.

With Loch Ryan just moments away, guests can enjoy waterside walks, sea air and peaceful views right on the doorstep. On‑site facilities add further appeal, including a swimming pool, laundrette, bar and restaurant, giving you both convenience and entertainment without needing to venture far. The surrounding area provides plenty to see and do.

The harbour town of Stranraer is nearby, offering shops, eateries and access to local transport links.

Regular bus services connect the holiday park to the town and train station, making it easy to explore further afield. Whether you’re planning a relaxed break by the water or hoping to discover more of Dumfries and Galloway, this caravan offers a great base at any time of year.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

STRANRAER

Portpatrick 8 miles; Newton Stewart 25 miles.

Stranraer, which became a Burgh of Barony in 1596 and a Royal Burgh in 1617, lies on the shores of Loch Ryan on the northern side of the isthmus joining the Rhins of Galloway to the mainland. There are many shops and cafes to while away an hour or two and the Stranraer Town Trail explains some of the fascinating history. For walkers, the Southern Upland Way touches Stranraer on its way through the Galloway Hills, having begun in Portpatrick, 7 miles to the west. Three nearby gardens are open to the public and well worth a visit at Castle Kennedy, Glenwhan and Logan. Stranraer has several beaches, however it is worth travelling to Sandhead and New England Bay for wonderful sandy beaches. A short drive south and you come to the Mull of Galloway, Scotland’s southernmost point. The lighthouse on the headland looks over some of the last remaining sections of natural coastal habitat on the Galloway coast and an RSPB nature reserve has been set up to retain this spectacular and diverse area.

This property offers the following short breaks:

  • Winter
  • Off-season
  • Last minute
  • Christmas
