“1.0 stars - Tired, Unclean, and Ken Keeps Your Deposit We cannot complain about the holiday park itself or the location of the caravan, which is a real shame because we absolutely cannot recommend this specific van or its owner, Ken.”

The static is described as an 8-berth, but it is woefully under-equipped. We found one pint glass, three dinner plates, a baffling twenty side plates, and seven egg cups. The outside is lined with hanging baskets full of dead plants and two picnic benches that are so rickety they feel close to collapse. Inside, the lack of care continues. The shower was visibly unclean, and we were provided with only two half-used toilet rolls. The TV remote didn't work, and a lamp in the living room is practically booby-trapped—the shade falls down if you touch it, making you think you've broken it. While the kids reported their beds were comfortable, the double bed was the hardest and most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. The worst part, however, is the owner, Ken. Be aware that he will withhold your deposit for literally anything. Ours was withheld for: bedding left on the floor (it wasn't), wet bathroom mats (their purpose is to dry wet feet!), grease in the oven (no proof provided, and we only cooked pizza), and damaging a table that was clearly already damaged on arrival. My guess, and hope, is that this is the last season Ken lets out this tired, under-equipped, and overpriced caravan. Avoid at all costs. ·
