“We stayed in Jon’s caravan early June 24 to use as a base for walking the Moray Costal Trail.”

It had all we needed to rest our weary legs at the end of a days hiking. Comfy sofas inside and excellent decking area outside for relaxing dining and drinks in the evening sun. There’s plenty of kit for the kitchen and linen for the beds and shower room, should it be needed. The caravan sites’ location is ideal, easily walkable into town for access to bars, restaurants and most importantly ice-cream! The local buses connect Lossiemouth to Elgin and then onto the wider Moray area. The beach and sea nearby is very clean with soft white sand and dunes, lots of wildlife with seals and seabirds regularly spotted along the Moray coast.

“My husband and myself went to see family and friends for the week.”

What a lovely caravan. Everything that we needed was there. The owner opened up for us and said he’d left the keys on the table. Said to let him know if there was any problems. Very spacious as we had three dogs aswel. The beach was a stone’s throw away and the forest walks were amazing. A good holiday was had by all.

“We stayed as a family of one older child and one labrador dog.”

The caravan itself was spacious, immaculate and has everything we need. It had cooking utensils, few fresh towels and bed sheets, nice shower, games, smart TV and wifi, microwave and toast machine, kettle and lots of storage. The local area was so beautiful, near River Lossie, Woods and beach if you are into outdoor which was perfect for us with dog. We didn't need to drive everytime we want to go for nice walk. But there are plenty nice woods to explore and local attraction. Also the town itself has lots to offer from supermarket, take aways shop, pubs and cafe with only approx 10mins walk. It was quite bad weather when we're arrived but we had nice days as well. I can imagine how this place will be so busy in the summer. The owner is responsive for any questions I had. We thoroughly enjoy our short holiday and would like to be back again, hopefully in better weather. Thank you.

“Jons caravan was perfect for our family of four (kids 6 and 2).”

Very comfortable stay- the caravan had everything we needed! Plenty towels, a well equipped kitchen and having two toilets was an added bonus. Caravan is in a very quiet spot, we hardly saw a soul- very relaxing. Outside decking space is fantastic, kids could play safely and run about without actually leaving the door.

“Great location for visiting Lossiemouth.”

We were visiting an elderly relative so weren’t in much but it’s a great base. Open plan inside with great decking area outside for our 2 year old to run around safely on. 10 minute flat walk to the bridge to the beautiful sandy beach where we spent every morning. Site is situated on a route through to forests where you can see colonies of red squirrels ( locals might even direct you to a secret bird and squirrel viewing point). 15 minute walk to the Harbour cafe which is our favourite in the area. The caravan had plenty of towels which was very useful as beach life means lots of showers! Beds were nicely made up. The owner is very responsive and nice so if you have any questions he is super quick and helpful. Recommend to solo, couples or families. Super convenient and would stay again.

“Lovely spacious caravan.”

Had everything you would need during your stay. The extensive decking was superb so thankfully the weather was very good and this allowed us use the outdoor furniture. We will certainly look to go back

“What a beautiful caravan!”

Everything you need and more . The caravan is situated close to the beach and also has a beautiful spacious decked area for enjoying the sunshine. The caravan was spacious and offered comfortable sleeping arrangements. It also has a fully functioning kitchen with a variety of appliances including; an oven with grill, microwave and fridge freezer. We only stayed 2 nights for a wedding but I would consider this caravan for future longer breaks. Thanks to the owner also who was great at keeping us updated and replied promptly to any queries we had. Great time had by all.

The property

The static caravan for hire is within the quietly located and characterful Lossiemouth Bay caravan park, at the very eastern end of Lossiemouth itself, a town which declares itself the jewel of Moray. There are few more delightful locations in the whole of the UK, situated as it is overlooking the Lossie river and just a few hundred meters from where the estuary empties, beyond its protecting sand dunes, into the firth of Moray.

The road ends here.

Beyond is only forest and coastline.

But only 5 minutes walk the other way, there are the shops, bars and eateries of the town's waterfront and harbour promenade. The east beach, behind which the caravan sits, boasts a surf school, a bird sanctuary, and miles of dune-backed sand. This is a low key and relaxing environment which can offer so much to the lover of outdoors, at all levels of activity. The caravan itself is modern and very well equipped.

Master bedroom has separate toilet and there is spacious wooden decking with large chunky furniture.

Situated on Scotland’s north east coast, Lossiemouth is a perfect holiday destination as it not only boasts a very rich and interesting history with lots of visitor attractions, but is also perfectly located to offer a wide choice of outdoor pursuits. The town itself has a surprisingly good selection of shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants and its wonderful coastal location means that the sea is always lapping away in the background. Take in the breathtaking scenery with a refreshing walk along the Moray Coast Trail, or enjoy a round of golf on the course located beside the shoreline. If you like being out on the water then you can choose to go fishing or perhaps dolphin watching on one of the many boat trips available. West Beach stretches for 3 miles, beside the famous Covesea Lighthouse and this area is a windsurfers dream. For hill walkers and cyclists there are many trails and routes to follow and along the way you will notice the wildlife all around you. The north east coast has many charming fishing villages and a short drive from one will lead you along to the next, each with its own history and atmosphere.
