Purpose of the role

UKcaravans4hire is looking to hire a Head of Guest Marketing to lead the marketing strategy for the brand and to drive bookings and revenue on behalf of our caravan owners.


Core Accountabilities

  • Recruit, retain and develop a high-performing Guest marketing team
  • Craft a winning, scalable guest marketing strategy which optimises marketing channels to ensure that revenue targets are met at a suitable ROI
  • Build the brand of UKcaravans4hire to become the leading booking platform for static caravan holidays
  • Championing the customer – utilising data, profiling and segmentation and other research methodologies to ensure deep understanding of our customers.
  • Planning the high level, end to end, marketing strategy & campaigns and developing those strategies to maximise ROI – through ongoing test and learn to refine performance.
  • Budgeting & forecasting of guest marketing activity, including regular performance updates to the senior management team
  • Organising and focusing the team to always align with the business priorities
  • Working in an agile way to efficiently plan campaigns and automations at scale
  • Liaise with external marketing providers where required

Essential Experience

  • Proven and experienced marketing manager with an excellent working knowledge across the full marketing mix.
  • Creating, inspiring, developing and managing a high performing team in a fast paced environment
  • Skilled in stakeholder management
  • Horizon scanning to identify opportunities
  • Ability to balance innovation and practicality
  • Commercially minded, naturally inquisitive and focused on data/performance optimisation
  • Interpreting, reporting and explaining results
  • Eye for detail and happy to roll your sleeves up, but also lift and elevate to provide direction.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in the UK travel sector and/or detailed knowledge of UK holiday park industry
  • Expertise in optimisation of online digital marketing channels, including PPC & SEO
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Marketing qualification (degree or similar)
