    “Not cleaned properly dirty toaster hoover head full of hair doors on cupboards would not shut properly outside kitchen window full of cobwebs small bedroom window outside full of cobwebs light holders in both bathrooms had dead flys in them patio doors would not shut properly seating area outside full of cobwebs no bin in on suite bathroom and smell from septic tank out side bedroom window terrible we have been coming to this site for over 19 years and it’s the worst two weeks we have spent they ever when it was run by the owners workers we never had any problems these new places that have been put on site are not good.”

    Sorry you felt that the lodge wasn’t up to your usual standards. We will be taking up the cleaning issues with Lyme Bay Holidays who arrange that service, but we have to say that on a recent spot check of our own, the lodge was immaculate. Perhaps if you had let them know on arrival that you were unhappy , they could have dealt with it. We have never had any previous complaint regarding any smell but we will ask the site owners to investigate this. PS Now having checked with the site manager, it wasn’t actually a problem with any septic tank, but the local farmer spreading manure on the surrounding fields. Property Owner
