    “When we arrived we found a wardrobe door hanging on by 1 hinge only and we were unable to contact anyone either Sykes or Lyme Bay holidays as neither replied to phone calls made on the Saturday.”

    This was eventually sorted on the monday by going to reception as there is no reception during the weekend. This was dangerous as we had our grandson with us! Plus the hot water in the bath was luke warm although hot everywhere else, so I had to improvise by running the shower into the bath. We also found the towel rails were linked to the central heating so we then ended up with damp towels. The cleanliness was good but little things like sweeping under the sofa and washing the glass ...

The decking could have been swept and cleared of cobwebs and the cushions for the chairs were stained, also the dead plants could be removed . The hob was challenging to work out how to use even by reading the instructions. A very enjoyable holiday was had and the pool was used every day ( indoor) the outdoor pool was too cold it is a shame its not heated, the surroundings were peaceful and well maintained.

LYME REGIS

Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. Note: Swimming pool needs children to be supervised at all times.
Note: During May and June there is some work taking place on the site with some new chalet bases being built and new chalets erected. Hazelwood 4 is on the opposite side of the site to where the work is takin place, therefore any disruption should be minimal.
