Additional info:
Our holiday home comes with a very well equipped kitchen, a full size oven and microwave, we also a good sized freezer if you' want to buy some essentials while you are on holiday. Supermarkets will deliver to the park - just make sure they are booked after you arrive. We provide washing up liquid and tea towels. Our master bedroom is spacious with lots of wardrobe space, there is a desk/dressing table and spare blankets. Our lounge is a good size and includes a dining area, one of the sofas opens out to an extra double bed. All quilts and linen are provided. There is a laundrette on the park, open from March to October, during the winter there is a laundrette in Cowes. The caravan has an airer.

Available all year. Set in the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside, just a few minutes walk from the pebble beach (a beachcombers dream). Well equipped kitchen. Spacious master bedroom. Enjoy views of the bay with a glass of wine or cup of hot chocolate from the comfy lounge while looking out for red squirrels in nearby trees.

Thorness is an excellent base to explore the sunny Isle of Wight - investigate fossil beaches, sample local beer, cheese and garlic - known as England in miniature.

During the winter the parks facilities are closed (though there is an outdoor play park if you are bringing children). There are hundreds of free and ticketed attractions to enjoy on the Island including Queen Victoria's Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, long sandy beaches, museums and galleries, play parks for the little ones and go-karting for the slightly bigger ones - details of our favourites will be available when you arrive.

If arriving by car your sat nav will bring you to the park main entrance, you can then follow our map to your parking spot - right outside the caravan. There are further parking places about 100m away if you bring more than one car (first come first served in busier times).

There are numerous walks both in the countryside and on the beach, you will be staying a few minutes from the Isle of Wight coastal path which could take you all the way around the Island (if you have a few days to spare). We are close to the private road to the beach where you can enjoy rockpooling on the shingle beach. The ISland is a mecca for walkers of all abilities. We are happy to share our favourites if you let us know what you would like to see.

The Isle of Wight has an excellent bus service, which will accept the over 65 card for those of you lucky enough to have them BUT the bus does not come right to the park, the closest stop is Hillis Corner, from there it is a 35 minute walk - either via the beach (check the tides) or along the road which has no pavement so please do take care.

Additional info:
Thorness Bay is a beautiful park with mature trees and Ancient Woodland to the west - perfect for bird watching and you are almost guaranteed to spot our famous red squirrels.
From March until October all of the park's facilities are open including a pool with a slide, entertainment in the evening and a kids club, you will need an entertainments pass which start at £30 per family - just speak to the lovely people in reception.
From November to February the park's facilities are closed but it is an excellent spot to enjoy some beach combing, there is a play area for little and middle ones (bring some wellies) and all-weather sports pitches too. Our caravan has central heating so you'll keep toasty warm and get to enjoy the Island at the locals' favourite time of year when you can have the beach to yourself, enjoy the autumn colours in the beautiful forests and experience a bit more of the Island's culture.
