Available for holiday letting for the very first time from November 2019, Bay Rest is a light and spacious double glazed and centrally heated 2 bedroomed, 6 berth caravan with a south facing 96 square feet exterior decked area. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom which has an en-suite wc and washbasin. There is a pull-out double bed in the lounge with a sprung mattress and slatted base and two standard length single beds in the second bedroom, so the caravan can sleep up to 6 guests. All beds have anti-allergy mattress protectors and non-allergenic pillows and duvets.
For your safety, the caravan is fitted with two carbon monoxide detectors, a smoke detector and a fire extinguisher. The kitchen is well appointed with quality appliances including a microwave and integrated fridge-freezer, gas hob and oven and plenty of storage and worktop space. The generous sized lounge has a feature fireplace, large wrap around sofa, smart television and DVD player and the dining area has a freestanding dining table and cushioned, high backed chairs. We have a selection of books, DVDs and board games available for your use. There is a parking space adjacent to the caravan. The total footprint of the accommodation (including the exterior enclosed decked area) is 528 square feet.
Bay Rest is 60 metres to the Smugglers Inn on-site restaurant, Yacht Club entertainment venue, outdoor swimming pool, supermarket and launderette. There are bus stops within 200 metres of the caravan with buses running every 10 minutes throughout the day which serve the three towns making up Tor Bay – Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Also known as the ‘English Riviera’, the landscape has designated UNESCO Global Geopark status, one of only seven in the entire UK and 140 in the world.
Paignton sits in the middle of the Bay and is therefore the perfect place from which to explore all that this incredible region has to offer. There are numerous blue flag beaches and coves close by which appeal to couples and families alike. The Park is adjacent to the South Devon Coastal Path and so is perfect for walkers and nature lovers. Additionally, there are many superb year-round attractions in Tor Bay including Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts (Torquay), Torquay Museum, Brixham Heritage Museum, Torre Abbey Museum (Torquay), Kent’s Cavern (Torquay), Cockington Court and Country Park (Torquay), Dartmouth Steam Railway (starting in Paignton), Princess Theatre (Torquay), Palace Theatre (Paignton), multi-screen Vue Cinema (Paignton), Golden Hind Museum Ship (Brixham) and the Berry Head National Nature Reserve (Brixham).
Bay Rest is only 270 metres from The South West Coast Path, so is an excellent base from which to take a morning or afternoon stroll to take you to a beautiful view or a more challenging, longer walk. However much of the South West Coast Path you enjoy, you’ll be experiencing part of the longest of the UK’s 15 National Trails.
Waterside Holiday Park is a fantastic location from which to see the Dartmouth Steam Railway original and award-winning Christmas Train of Lights. The Steam Railway track from Paignton to Kingswear runs past the Park and the vintage carriages are decorated with thousands of lights, both inside and out. Dates are selling out fast and full details are on the Dartmouth Steam Railway website: https://www.dsrrbchristmas.co.uk/train-of-lights.
