Additional info:
When you hire our caravan we provide duvets and duvet covers and pillows. You will need to bring your own pillow cases and sheets. If you don’t have a fitted, king size sheet for the master bedroom then a flat, double sheet will do.

We provide a large selection of DVDs for use as on the North Norfolk coast the TV signal can be weak in periods of High Pressure in the summer. We also provide a selection of games and books in the cupboards.

Outside facilities include a picnic area and table and a garden bench for your use. Our caravan also features a wide ramp and a decking area for outdoor eating and just enjoying the beautiful views.

To the front of the caravan we are fortunate to have a large, picture window. In front of the window are several bird feeding stations for your use. You will see a wide range of animals visit our plot from squirrels and rabbits to muntjacs and marsh harriers circling overhead.

Our caravan is also our second home and we dearly love visiting it ourselves so please leave it as you find it although we do clean the caravan thoroughly ourselves in between guest visits.

On hiring we will send you our terms and conditions. Please be sure to read them carefully on booking.

Set in a large woodland plot on Kelling Heath Caravan Park you feel surrounded by trees and friendly animals yet have the comfort of knowing you are on a well fascilitated caravan park.

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, nearby are lush fields and beaches that are a bird watchers paradise. Equally you can visit the seals or the safe, sandy beaches and quaint seaside towns of Sheringham, Cromer, Wells and Hunstanton. As you enter Sheringham on the right on the coast road you will also find ‘The Reef’ a new swimming pool and leisure facility. .

Kelling Heath Caravan Park has the North Norfolk steam railway running through it and you can catch a steam train from the site to Holt and Sheringham.

The caravan itself has all the luxuries of home with double glazing and central heating. There is also an electric, blow out fire in the front room for instant heat. The plot has ample parking space and is bordered by birch, pine, oak, chestnut trees and gorgeous rhododendron bushes. There is ample outside furniture with a bench and a picnic table at the side of the caravan. We are very fortunate to have one of the largest plots on site plus amazing picture windows in the lounge that give uninterrupted views of our plot and wildlife (frequent guests including playful squirrels, curious muntjac, friendly pheasants, rabbits and a whole host of woodland birds.

The caravan has 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has an en suite and a king sized bed, the second bedroom has two smaller, single beds, overall sleeping 4 people. We provide pillows and duvets with covers for all beds but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels and also always remember to bring a torch as there is little ‘onsite’ lighting except in the site centre..

Enjoy your days sunning in our woodland clearing or keeping cool beneath the tree. Enjoy your evenings at the restaurant, club house, take in a live band at the village centre or just enjoy the AMAZING night skies with no light pollution to dilute the stars and moonlight. We are officially a U.K. ‘Dark Sky’ location and even, occasionally get visited by the Northern lights.

Should you need provisions during your stay there is a local Budgens supermarket at Holt and a large Tesco supermarket in Sheringham. Tesco will also deliver any online orders direct to the caravan. Further afield there is a Lidl and a Morrisons in both Cromer and Fakenham. The site itself also has a well stocked shop for food and gifts a short walk to the site centre from our plot.

Regular services mean you can enjoy a steam train trip to lovely Holt, with all its quaint tea rooms frequented by royalty, and the seaside town of Sheringham. North Norfolk was also used extensively in World War two. Churchill and Roosevelt met at the nearby tea rooms and the telecommunication posts are still visible on the coast. Family With Older Children

Date of stay - 13 Aug 2022 - 20 Aug 2022

We stayed for a week in August school holidays having never been to the Park before. Pauline's caravan is easy to find from her directions and is clearly numbered. It has a lovely large open area to park or play in and has sloped entrance and a small decking area which was lovely to sit out on and watch the world go by. The kitchen area was well stocked with all utensils, crockery and glasses you would need, a full size fridge freezer and gas oven with gas hob burners. There were fire alarms around the caravan too. The living area was really pretty with comfy sofas and plenty of reading materials. The living room has a lovely large window to watch all the wildlife whilst having a cuppa. We didn't use the TV as the reception wasn't great due to the weather, but there is a DVD player there if you wanted to watch something. The bedrooms were great, a lovely king sized bed and two smaller singles in the second room, suitable for young children. There were wardrobes and shelf space in each room, and the main bedroom had a bonus en suite. The main bathroom has a lovely large powerful shower and space to hang a few towels. Overall, it was very clean and we would have been happy to stay longer! We took part in loads of activities at the park which were all free (orienteering, sketching, archery, fencing & fishing) - you just need to search for 'Acorn Activities' on the Kelling Heath website. We also pre-booked pool sessions for each day and made full use of the outdoor pool which was clean, warm-ish but it was hot sunny weather so we didn't notice. We loved the village area with a decent shop, table tennis tables, pop up food vendors and bar, pizza, restaurant etc. They had live music every night from 7 - 9.30 which was excellent, and there was a childrens entertainer from 5-6 every night too. It was such a lovely, happy place that we hope to return to.

Thank you for your kind words Tanya. It is a lovely place for families of all ages and after 32 years of being onsite, we always look forward to our next visit!

We stayed in this caravan for the half term week with our granddaughter and loved it, from the easiness of contact with the owner Pauline to how clean it was when we arrived, it is in a fantastic spot about a 5 minute stroll from the main centre, the accommodation you could not fault with everything you need and to top it all the beds was really comfortably, was lovely having the squirrels visit in the morning, in fact our granddaughter loved it so much we have booked it again for next year, so that tells you everything! If you want a really clean, quiet and comfortable holiday then you could ask for no more than this!

Thank you Mandy. We are so glad that you loved our holiday home as much as we do!

Had a fantastic week away. The caravan was lovely plenty of space, clean and plenty of space to put your belongings. We got to sit down in the morning with a cup of tea and watch the dear walk around outside amazing. Lovely helpful customer service from the owners can’t fault a thing.

Lovely location, beautiful accommodation which was spotless. But the ornaments are very much personal taste & do date the otherwise modern & comfortable caravan. This is just a personal observation & not meant to be offensive & maybe not everyones opinion. However in view of Covid, it may cut down the hosts cleaning & make surfaces easily wipeable. The accommodation is spotless & you can tell it's the owners pride & joy & we would definitely stay again. Also recommend the Huff & Puff cycle hire on site. Great bikes, reasonable prices & great service.

Thank you for your kind review Heather. The caravan is our second home more than it is a hirer hence our personal tastes!

We keep coming back to Kelling Heath because it’s a beautiful place and this caravan occupies a unique secluded plot. The accommodation works well for us. It is a great base from which to explore and enjoy walks, cycle rides, superb local beaches and be totally immersed in the woodland setting. The wildlife is abundant and much more fun to watch than the telly. We love the caravan and look forward to holidays here.

A long time since we have had such a holiday but we were delighted with all aspects of it. The location was wonderful - a private woodland setting, the caravan itself had absolutley everything needed - plenty of room, excellent catering facilities, large TV and DVD player. Outside was a table and benches and a regular visit from a squirrel. The central facilities were more than adequate with a shop and bar and restaurant. We also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. The area itself is beautifull, many walks locally and the near access to the North Norfolk coast. All in all highly commendable and we would certainly consider returning. Pauline the owner was very helpful throughtout.

Just come back from a weeks holiday in this caravan. we took our disabled grand daughter with us (14 years old). The caravan is well equipped and everything worked as we would have hoped. There is lots of space and it was very peaceful and quiet. The site is excellent and we were able to take our grand daughter swimming in the indoor pool where the staff were very helpful. Good facilities for disabled. The owner was very helpful and also replied very promptly to any queries I had. The booking process was very easy. Would definitely return.

Our first time at Kelling, but will come back again. Caravan very comfortable well equipped and clean. Loved seeing the wildlife right outside the window. Especially the antics of the squirrels, and the beautiful deer, that strolled through the garden. Plenty of local information available. The owner is very easy to contact, Would definitely recommend.

Me and my family have just returned from a fantastic week at this caravan. We did not want to leave. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with all the facilities and utensils necessary for a self-catering stay. The caravan is very homely and relaxing, situated about 10 minutes away from the Village square at Kelling. Highlights for us were watching the variety of birds which visited daily and the peaceful location of the caravan. A huge thank you to the owner for accepting our booking. We would not hesitate to recommend this to others and sincerely hope to return again ourselves.

We have stayed at Kelling Heath many times, and this very spacious plot is in a lovely location, very tranquil. The caravan is very well presented, with good equipment provided. Having an en-suite to the main bedroom is an asset. There is a helpful welcome book in the caravan which also gives useful local information. We would definitely like to book again and yet again!

My family and I have stayed in the park countless times and I think that this is one of the nicest plots by far. The caravan was lovely, very spacious and clean with everything you would need for your holiday. The added bonus of games, books and cuddly toys (my four year old son fell in love with the fox) was a lovely surprise. Will definitely be planning a return visit.
