Books and games along with a box of beach stuff. A selection of DVD's for those unpredictable rainy days.
If you're looking to book at Rockley Park I'm hoping you'll love it just as much as I do. I originally lived in the North East and came to stay here for a week nearly 30 years ago and never went back!
Rockley Park is open from March to December (although some facilities are not available, but the park is lovely and quiet). I live locally, which is convenient for meeting my guests. I have a vast knowledge of the area and every time I visit Rockley Park (which is often) I still get that sense of excitement and I can honestly say that no two visits are ever the same.
Check in is from 2pm (earlier if the caravan is unoccupied) and Check out is 10am
My caravan - Shirley Valentine - is pet friendly and there is a charge of £20 should you wish to bring along your fur baby) is situated on flat level ground, close to all local amenities (ideal if you have a pushchair or toddlers as some of the park is quite steep. It is also suitable for guests that just can't walk too far).
It has a nice, modern, open plan feel and include a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with full size cooker.
The caravan has two bedrooms. There is parking for one car beside the caravan. It has a double and a twin bedroom with wardrobe (smaller one in the twin bedroom), along with a pull-out double bed in the lounge area.
Outside you will find a picnic table and chairs where you can relax (possibly with a nice glass of wine or just to keep an eye on the little ones).
Everything you need for a week or two can be provided . I will of course provide you with enough tea and coffee for the first few days; after all, if you've travelled some distance your'e probably ready for a cuppa.
There is a selection of DVDs in the caravan should you fancy a night in, or children’s DVDs should you require 10 minutes peace and quiet.
There are also books and games supplied, which you will find under the bed in the twin room for the children. There is a selection of books for adults, please take one or swap one. In addition, you will find a box of beach toys (i.e. buckets, spades, etc.) underneath each caravan for your little ones to enjoy.
I can provide bedding for you to make up the beds on arrival.
I can supply a high chair if you need one (please ask).
I can offer 3 and 4 night breaks - please ask for prices (except in July and August) or 7 night breaks. Please note; only 7 night breaks are available during the school summer holidays. If you're looking for an out of season break, please contact me.
You will find a welcome pack with lots of information about the park and the local area that has been specially put together to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Just got back from a wonderful stay in this caravan. Good location, clean, lots of home comforts, refreshments provided. Already booked to stay again in September!! After reading the other review, it appears that some people should just stay at home...!!
Thank you. I’m glad you had a lovely holiday. Look forward to you returning soon

Having opened the door of the caravan to a filthy door matt, our initial impressions were not great. They were then reaffirmed when we found a pair of someones knickers in a draw, alongside a dress in the wardrobe! We then proceeded to find a broken tea pot and a very odd brown substance in the microwave. Taking into account we're in the midst of a pandemic and cleanliness is of paramount importance, this caravan fell extremely short on all counts. The biggest disappointment was that having messaged the owner with picture evidence on day I've still yet to recieve an apology a week later. Suffice to say we will not be returning to this caravan.
I arrived shortly after the above guests arrived, to check they had settled in, who arrived an hour before the agreed time. (Guests are given a code for the key safe) This s important as owners privately letting have to inform Haven of arrival times so that check in at the gate doesn’t become congested. Firstly I apologised to my guests ( they are the backbone f letting our caravans). The doormat is a doormat and therefore will have grass from outside from cleaner in and out and is also hoovered after every guest leaves. A guest left underwear in a drawer (perhaps in the same wardrobe a top was left hanging in) as there are no drawers apart from tue cutlery drawer and I apologised for this not being picked up. The brown ‘substance’ in the microwave na actually a result f the turning wheel which does my affect the microwave and is PAT tested confirming it s therefore safe to se. The teapot had a chipped spout which was easy to miss. Granted we are in the midst f of a pandemic but we are doing what we can go get through t. It’s good that we can still get out during this mayhem although I’ve some, ts just not everybody to enjoy just yet.
