Devenish Pitt Farm and Stables is situated in the picturesque East Devon Coly Valley set in 260 acres of tranquil countryside. A peaceful country setting in an area of outstanding beauty (AOB), four miles from the market town of Honiton and close to numerous coastal towns and villages along the Jurassic coastline.
The comfortable static home is in a peaceful, private spot situated on a sheep farm with riding stables in an area of outstanding beauty. Visitors can enjoy breath-taking views across the valley and are welcome to enjoy the wonderful walks around the farm. There is a parking space beside the home and additional parking close by. There is plenty of open space around the caravan to take a stroll or for children to play safely.
The cosy home (8-berth) comfortably sleeps 6 people with three bedrooms - double, twin and bunk bedrooms all with electric heaters. There is a spacious lounge/dining area with gas heater, fully equipped kitchen, a shower room with toilet and wash basin. Visitors can relax and admire the spectacular view from the decked veranda where they can enjoy barbecues and meals outside. They also have the use of a large garden. Access to the home is by decked ramp. All equipment, bed linen, tea towels and gas are included. We ask visitors to bring their own towels or these can be hired if you prefer.
Come to enjoy the quiet tranquillity of the countryside around you. Numerous walks, bird and wildlife watching. Local places of interest with fishing, golf, sandy/pebble beaches, etc all minutes away. Stunning coastal footpaths over the cliff tops along the World Heritage Jurassic coastline just a short drive away. Devenish Pitt is an ideal base for exploring Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the south coast.
We have many farm animals and pets. Willing volunteers can help around the farm and groom and help look after our many friendly horses and ponies.
The riding school is a short walk from the caravan. We offer lessons and hacks from a friendly team of instructors. Lessons are given in the indoor school or outside menage. Hacks and family rides are available in our beautiful countryside. For those who have never ridden before we can offer part lesson followed by part gentle ride out. However, the caravan is situated in a private spot so guests that are not interested in the horses or farm will be equally as happy as those that may be very keen this aspect of the holiday.

Lovely location and fab views. Peaceful and hidden away, just perfect. Evenings spent on the decking watching the valley and on two nights we saw badgers at the bottom of the field running around, just magical! Loved waking up to the sounds of birds, sheep and horses.

Sidmouth 20 mins - Beach resort - pebbly town beach, sandy Jacob's ladder beach; stunning gardens at Jacobs's ladder; famous Donkey Sanctuary; swimming pool and sports centre.
Lyme Regis, Dorset 25 mins - Fossils; famous for its Cobb where the French Lieutenant's Woman was filmed. A sandy and a pebbly beach.
West Bay 40 mins, a little further up the Dorset coast where the popular TV series of Broadchurch was filmed.
There are also many nearby country villages and traditional Devon pubs with the counties of Dorset and Somerset only a short drive away. Dartmoor and Exmoor are also both on the door step.
