The Van
The main bedroom offers a double bed with a large wardrobe. The second bedroom also has a double bed with a small wardrobe, whilst the third bedroom has twin beds and a small wardrobe.
There is a main bathroom that has a shower, sink and toilet, and also a second small bathroom that offers a further toilet and sink.
The kitchen has an oven, grill and hob, and also a microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment. There is a slow cooker, toaster, kettle and the expected utensils and crockery.
There is a dining area with a large table and seating for six adults.
The living room has a 42" television with Freesat TV and DVD player. We have now installed the internet into the caravan.
The living room has a very large "L" shaped settee which can be pulled out to make the additional beds if necessary.
Outside of the caravan is a large deck area, upon which is a large table and large "L" shaped rattan style settee and 3 stools - perfect for a sizeable family get-together! There is a small bistro style table with two chairs, for a quiet mug of coffee. There is a gas barbeque that guests are welcome to use, and finally two sun beds. This area catches the sun from early morning until sun set, perfect to top up a tan without even needing to travel!
There is a rotary washing line to the rear of the caravan, along with iron/ small ironing board.
Heating is provided by a gas fire in the living room, with an electric hot air heater for the bedroom area. We will provide hand towels, tea towels, cleaning products etc, but we ask that guests provide their own beach and bath towels.
New for 2021 is WIFI within the caravan.
The Site
Is family focused, and has a large clubhouse/ bar area with entertainment (depending on season), and facilities such as pool tables, ping-pong etc. This area includes a restaurant, and a bar at which events such as football are shown. There is a launderette with industrial sized washers and dryers, and a well stocked and reasonably priced shop, all of which is about a 2 minute walk from the caravan. Other facilities on site include a surf school and beauty salon, although use of these is not included in the caravan fee.
The site has a large indoor swimming pool, with a steam room and sauna attached. There is a café alongside in which to relax if the children are busy swimming! There is also an outdoor pool, with sunbeds alongside, perfect for a lazy afternoon.
We are dog owners and welcome well behaved pets. On site there is a large dog walking field and a "doggy shower" close to the van. Further, many of the local beaches are "dog friendly" - i.e. Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth, although the closest beach, Porth, only allows dogs in the early morning and evening.
The Area
The location is perfect for exploring the fabulous North coast of Cornwall. Newquay is just 5 minutes drive away, whilst a little further down the coast are the likes of Padstow, Wadebridge, Perranporth etc. The nearest beach is Porth, at around a 2 minute drive (or 15 minutes walk for the more active!) and which boasts the Mermaid Inn, one of a limited number of pubs that sits literally on the beach!Close by is Watergate Bay, at around 5 minutes drive, known for surfing, water sports and the expanse of beach (when the tide is out!), and a small number of places to eat. Other beaches within easy reach are Harlyn Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Constantine Bay and the home of U.K. surfing - Fistral Bay in Newquay.
Being so close to Newquay gives access to the town itself , numerous supermarkets and a cinema, and the host of attractions for which Newquay is known, i.e. Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium and a lively night scene.
A little further afield is the Eden Project, Retallick Resort and with a modest drive, the beautiful town of St. Ives.
The location is just perfect for those who love being near the sea and taking spectacular walks or enjoying water sports!
As a local family, we have friends with caravans on site, and so if you are part of a larger group please make contact and we can establish if the other vans are available.
