I booked the ReTreat for my Mum, Dad and puppy as a Christmas gift and it is safe to say that they absolutely loved their time - so relaxing, and perfect for some head space after a heavy week at work! They said that Linda and her family were so kind and helpful, and that the scenic walks around the area were beautiful and perfect for our dog Lottie. Pubs nearby too with dog access which was great, and plenty of history to see and new places to search in the day, and then relaxing in the caravan at night! Clean, fully equipped and a gorgeous bottle of Prosecco in the fridge upon arrival! 10/10, a lovely stay for my parents and the perfect gift to buy anyone from my experience!

Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are so glad that they enjoyed it.

After receiving a warm and friendly welcome we soon settled in to the Retreat for our weekend getaway. Situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley the Retreat is a perfect place for a peaceful getaway in the countryside. The accommodation itself is very private with its own fenced in garden area surrounded by a beautiful views of the countryside. It is equipped with pretty much everything you need to cook and make meals , very comfortable and cosy and a perfect place to relax or explore the local area . The hosts , Linda , Mark and Eleanor are friendly, welcoming , and while respecting your privacy, were happy to help with any advice or questions you may have which makes The Retreat a wonderful place to stay . All in all it’s a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful part of the countryside , not to far from local shops, pubs and food places if you wish , but private and peaceful if you just want to relax . Would I return ? …. Absolutely without hesitation, this place is an absolute gem , wonderful hosts , wonderful location and I really enjoyed it Thank you very much for having us Craig

Thank you for your lovely review and taking the time to do this, We look forward to seeing you again soon ????

A lovely little retreat with beautiful views. The caravan is well equipped with everything you are likely to need to cook a meal. The secure area for our dogs gave us piece of mind that they were safe. The chickens are lovely little characters and we loved doing the chicken run with them. The hosts very friendly and approachable. We really appreciated the wine, fresh flowers and fresh eggs from the chickens. Thank you for accommodating us at very short notice!

So glad you had a lovely time. Thank you for taking the time to review our retreat.

Mark Linda & Eleanor were fantastic, not in your face but there if you needed them. Thanks for the flowers eggs & prosecco. Caravan was well equipped & spotless, garden was a good size & secure for our wee dog. Enjoyed doing the "chicken run" on entering and leaving & they were always pleased to see us (or was it the food ????). Wilma Roy & little Meg ????

From the start to finish of our break here, we cannot find one fault. The caravan was cosy, homely and clean, the gifts on arrival were a special touch. The enclosed garden was a lovely bonus, especially for our 2 dogs, we spent most of our time in it, enjoying watching the characterful chickens, which I wanted to smuggle home!! And we loved just relaxing there, taking in the views of the beautiful surrounding countryside, and the sunsets were amazing. The hosts, Linda, Mark and Eleanor were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming, with great knowledge of the area, and really made our stay here. We have come home fully relaxed and we can't wait to come back again hopefully very soon, because it really is a hidden gem, and very special, a true "retreat".

Thank you so much for the lovely review. We really appreciate your time to do this, hope to see you soon.

We've just returned from a wonderful two nights staying at this accommodation. We can't express how welcomed we felt throughout our time here! The accommodation waa clean, beds comfortable, private and has all the facilities you need. We would like to thank Linda, Mark and Eleanor for having us and, if they'd have us back, we will be returning. We were given a real personal touch from the complimentary prosecco and fresh eggs from their hens to insight into the area and all their recommendations for food and things to do. I will be recommending The Retreat to all our friends and family and would urge anybody wanting some time away in a secluded spot yet close enough to walk to some places for local history and beautiful food to consider staying here. Once again thank you so much Linda, Mark & Eleanor, we really appreciate what you offer and can't wait to return. Andrew & Mark

Thank you very much for a lovely review. We appreciate the time you spent to express your thoughts on your recent visit, hope to see you soon.

We needed an escape from reality and The Retreat was it. Linda, Mark and Eleanor couldn't have been more thoughtful, more helpful, or more friendly. It was a lovely weekend break, we had chickens for neighbours, amazing views, Mark took my husband to pick strawberries from their garden, we felt as though we were in our own piece of nature. We will be back, it helped us decompress and we loved it.

The most beautiful, tranquil setting...Firstly we had to juggle the dates slightly, Linda and Mark were more than accommodating. The nicest welcoming couple from the beginning to the end of our stay. The caravan was spotless with everything you need, home from home with a personal touch of flowers, free range eggs and prosecco. The hens are full of character and are too very welcoming. The views are stunning and the sunset in the evening is something else! Lots of wildlife from hares, deer and ducks. We hope to be back sooner rather than later as this little hidden gem is an idyllic setting.

Thank you so much for the lovely review. We look forward to seeing you soon.

We really enjoyed staying at 'The Retreat'. The view from the lounge window is attractive and peaceful - facing west so we were fortunate to get spectacular sunsets. Wonderful country walks from the caravan, the history of the area is very interesting. The owners are friendly and helpful.

Thank you. We really appreciate your time to review.

If you're looking for a complete relaxing break in beautiful countryside, then look no further. The caravan is spotlessly clean and has everything you need (and more), games, books, DVD's etc. The bed is super comfy and cosy. Mark and Linda are really welcoming and friendly and Linda leaves lots of personal touches such as fresh flowers, Prosecco and eggs from the 'happy hens'. As it was our anniversary, she even put a Happy Anniversary banner up for us. Speaking of the 'happy hens', they are an absolute joy, so tame/friendly and highly entertaining! The minute you open the door in the morning they are there clucking away. I seriously cannot recommend this highly enough. Well done Mark and Linda and thank you for making our stay/anniversary so special.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay. It is a lovely review and is much appreciated. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you soon!

We spent 5 nights at the Retreat for our daughter's 1st Birthday. A great warm welcome, very friendly, some gifted eggs from the Hens which roam around outside, great for our daughter to view. Also speaking of the view, it's amazing, you'd have to experience it! Clean and tidy caravan with plenty of space for the 3 of us, I think the images don't do it enough justice. I would highly recommend the retreat and we'll be returning as soon as we get the chance to go back up north.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We really appreciate your time to review your holiday at the Retreat, and hope to see you soon, regards Mark, Linda and Eleanor.

We booked 4 nights here not knowing what to expect but hoping the reviews were right, and honestly the reviews don’t do it justice! Lovely caravan in beautiful surroundings and the chickens were an absolute joy! Our girls completely fell in love with them. Linda, Mark & Eleanor could not be more friendly & welcoming…Mark was great for a bit of banter! ???? We loved our stay at The Retreat & will definitely be back. Thanks Linda, Mark & Eleanor for sharing a piece of your beautiful home with us.

We stayed here as a last minute 'get away' for bank holiday in May. We knew the weather may not be the best however, this would never stop us from having a caravan break anyway. When we arrived we were greeted by Mark and Linda who were very welcoming, friendly and informative of the area, the caravan and their land. They even checked in on us on the second day to ensure all was well and we were warm enough! The views are incredible! We managed to get outside on evening one for a nice gin or two before the rain hit the next day. Looking out from the living room to the gorgeous farm land is a view we won't ever get tired of. The chickens on the grounds are an absolute bonus especially for myself who loves the farm life. One chicken had serious character trying to jump into our car on arrival. The caravan came equipped with lots of great extras such as hand wash, sanitiser, cleaning wipes, binoculars, games, books, fresh flowers on the table and a very much welcome chilled bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and lovely fresh eggs from their loving hens! Something you don't get from bigger caravan hire companies. We are a couple who like to get away in caravans and lodges often and we can honestly say that no other caravan owners/companies have been as pleasant and welcoming. We unfortunately, didn't manage to leave a message in the guest book as we didn't have a pen but we definitely will next time! What a beautiful, idyllic location and caravan, we are already planning our next stay! See you soon Mark & Linda!

Thank you for your lovely review. Glad you enjoyed your stay xxx

Linda. Mark & Eleanor made us feel very welcome in their homestead, the caravan being in a private area overlooking fields and an allotment. It made for a relaxing break away from it all in the beautiful Ribble Valley.

Thank you very much for your lovely review and comments. Look forward to seeing you again, mark, Linda, eleanor and all the animals x

We had a fantastic stay! Mark and Linda couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and the location was perfect. We didn't want to stay on a holiday park so this ticked all the boxes - private, surrounded by countryside, a village just a short walk away and plenty of places to explore by car. I particularly enjoyed waking up in the morning and seeing what Brian the resident Chinese goose was up to and watching the cockerel and chickens strutting their stuff and scratching in the grass. I'd have liked to have smuggled a couple of the chickens home with me - they have truly stolen my heart! Thank you for having us and we hope to see you again.

Lovely, so glad that you enjoyed your stay here xx
