Set on the millionaires row of ‘Woodlands’ at the 5* Haven site Littlesea, our 3 bedroom Regal Kensington , super large 39ft x 13ft caravan, not only gives you stunning 'Signature' views of the lagoon, but also provides lovely sweeping views across the whole park and to the countryside beyond. On a clear day you can see right round the headland to Lyme Bay and in the evening the lights of the whole park providing a lovely outlook.
Being at the top of the park the added bonus is that there are very few ‘passers-by’ providing a lovely, peaceful location, yet still being only five minutes from the main facilities. With the woodland behind we frequently have badgers come to play in the late evening and early mornings. We recommend pulling up a chair and watching the sunset over the lagoon from the decking.
If you are reading this advertisement then I guess you have already decided on Littlesea as a destination for your holiday and we really don’t need to sell you the park – we would merely like to say ‘top choice’. We spent many, many years looking all over Dorset for just the right holiday park before settling on Littlesea in Weymouth – need we say anymore - although it is perhaps worth mentioning that as a site it was also voted Britain's best holiday park by a well known tourist industry review site.
The caravan is double glazed and centrally heated, so ideal whatever the weather and is especially suited to walkers as the South West Coastal Path walks through the site. Walk to the left and you can walk out along the causeway to Portland, walk to the right , along the edge of the fleet lagoon and you can walk as far as your legs can carry you towards Lyme Bay but perhaps a cream tea in Abbotsbury some 7 miles away is more achievable.
Our caravan is our home from home so you'll find all the usual bits and bobs : gas cooker; microwave oven; toaster; full size fridge freezer; plus a wall hung 42” TV; Blue Ray/DVD player plus some extras such as a coffee machine, slow cooker and a selection of books, games and jigsaw puzzles just in case you get a wet day. We do not have a washing machine in the van but hey who wants to be washing on holiday anyway!
All gas and electricity is included in the price and we provide complimentary tea, coffee and sugar to get you started on your weeks holiday.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, wall-mounted 22” TV and an ensuite toilet. The two other bedrooms are twin bedded, although one of the twin beds can be pushed together to make a small double. All bedrooms have storage cupboards/wardrobes.
Duvets and pillows are included. However, you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers and of course, towels.
We provide an information folder in our caravan with lots of suggestions for local entertainment, walks (the South West Coastal path runs through the site) and activities in the area, in addition to lots of other useful information on site.
Because our caravan is on the top tier of the park, there is no parking directly next to it. However, dedicated parking for ‘Woodlands’ residents is available down a short slope within metres of the van and directly below the Woodlands terrace - please contact us if you have concerns about access and we can send photo's.
Bookings & Conditions
All Haven parks are designed with families and couples in mind and Haven will usually turn away parties where all people are under the age of 21, similarly no stag or hen parties are allowed. Our van is NO Smoking and NO pets - sorry but we have a daughter who is allergic to pet hair.
We also only rent to a maximum of six people, all of whom must to be named on the original booking form. Only guests listed on the booking form are permitted to stay overnight in the caravan. Failure to adhere to these rules will invalidate our insurance and for this reason the holiday will become void immediately.
If booking with us, we will need a non-refundable booking deposit of £100, with the balance of the holiday payable at least 4 weeks before your holiday is due to start.
If booking within the 4 week period, the full balance is payable immediately.
In addition, we require a £100 security bond to cover any damage, loss, breakages or the need for an excessive clean. This is returned immediately upon cleaning and checking the caravan at the end of your holiday, assuming that all is in order.
IMPORTANT NOTE
As a Haven park, all the usual facilities are on site including 2 indoor and 1 outdoor swimming pool, an entertainment complex with amusements/bar/live shows a couple of outdoor play parks as well as activities such as archery, shooting, bungee trampolining, hard service football courts, a ranger station, nature trails etc. Please check the Haven website for a list of all facilities and activities.
From 2021 onwards – Haven are operating a two tiered holiday option: either 'stay and play' or just 'stay'. If you are renting a van privately, you will be signed up to the 'stay' option and will have no access to the live shows, activities and swimming pool unless you purchase play passes.
Play passes can be purchased separately by using the link emailed from Haven, which will be sent immediately upon payment of your balance, you will then be able to book activities in advance of your holiday.
You do not have to buy passes and without passes you can still access the amusement arcade, eat at the restaurants on site and make use of the takeaways such as Cooks fish and chips and Papa Johns. There are good local swimming pools and masses to do in Weymouth town, on the seafront and at the beach.
