Upset and hurt after being accused of scratching TV and leaving caravan in a mess. My husband is 74 and I'm 68 yrs of age, we respect other peoples property. I swear we did not cause the scratches and cleaned the caravan. The caravan was old and in need of a revamp. We got there to find gas had run out, water leaking all over sides from a coffee machine. The shower was leaking and had to hold shower head when using it. The settees were threadbare and shabby, the decking furniture was falling to bits. We were asked why did we stay if caravan was so bad. We'd travelled 246 miles and could not face the journey home without the weeks rest. The owner withheld our Security bond of £100. We did not cause any damage. Very sad as we've been going to Devon Cliffs for 20 years and never had a complaint made against us.
At the end of the day you have left this review and the other reviews I have say the complete opposite, I have contacted the people in before and also the week before that who were 100% happy and also have e mailed statements that the tv was not damaged before you stayed. The gas on site is used by Gas bottles so if I’m not told they have run out I wouldn’t know? Which is what I explained I do not have psychic abilities to to see that the gas would’ve run out, yet most people would just order another like in a haven or other owners van. Your bad review is because I have proof that there was grass and mud left in just about every room yet I have a stoned path up to the van so no reason for grass to be in each bedroom and even Inc the bathroom, your deposit was withheld firstly and most importantly because the TV is damaged and secondly because of the mess it took an extra 1.5 hours to clean the van and my smart tv is a couple of weeks old with 3 scratches down it which I think is from your dog , which you have said was small but having seen pictures isn’t that small. The coffee machine you say was leaking all over the side was obviously put back together wrong by you or the prev guests you are happy to put the blame for the coffee machine and the gas on me yet both things I can’t foresee. I would also like to add that mr and Mrs greenshields had all these issues yet the only call I had was to say the gas had run out which I rang and was sorted within 30 mins. The customer that stayed 10 days before you left a wonderful review. So how all these things you say were wrong happened in 10 days should make people wonder ……….also like to add that Uk caravans sided with me has the proof I had what is undoubtable, I know accidents happen and the last 4 years of having the van I have kept one others £50 bond which was half because they smashed a light fitting, I do not and can prove I don’t keep anyones bonds and Uk caravans can prove that also has no other claim has ever been made,
