The holiday home owner (‘The Owner’) reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR BOOKING
These Terms & Conditions are in place to protect the rights of the holiday home owner and all guests.
Please read them very carefully, as you are entering into a legally binding agreement.
Dates of Hire
The length of hire as agreed between The Hirer and The Owner is from 3:00pm on the arrival date until 10:00am on the departure date. Any unauthorised use of the caravan by The Hirer outside of these dates and times is chargeable and may result in the forfeit of some, or all, of the deposit paid by The Hirer.
Cost of Hire
The TOTAL amount payable for the period of hire is set out on the booking form this in addition to a £100 refundable security deposit. The deposit holds your chosen dates & will be repaid in full no later than 7 days after the end of the period of hire, providing that these terms and conditions have been adhered to. The balance of the cost of hire MUST be received no later than 4 weeks before the start of the hire period otherwise the contract will be cancelled and the hirer will lose their deposit.
Occupancy
Only those named on the booking form will be allowed in the caravan.
This means that if you have to cancel you cannot sell the holiday to someone else. They may sue you when they are not allowed into the caravan.
Arrival Arrangements
Please do not arrive before the stated arrival time. The arrival time is in place to ensure everything is ready for your stay. Please check the caravan when you arrive, if you find anything wrong please contact the owner immediately. This will protect you if things are found after you leave that you knew about.
If anything is damaged during your stay please contact The Owner immediately so that they can arrange repair before the next guests.
Key Policy
One key will be provided per caravan, the location of this will be given in the week before your stay. In the event of the key being lost please contact The Owner. Reception has a spare key on the park but a charge of £25 will be deducted from your deposit to replace the lost key.
No Smoking Policy
No smoking is allowed anywhere in the caravan including standing in the doorway or outside by the doorway. Any extra cleaning incurred to remove smells or signs of smoking from caravan will result in loss of deposit & potential prosecution if any damaged caused.
Entertainment Passes
Entertainment passes are not included in the caravan hire cost. If required, these may be purchased from Haven in advance or at reception on arrival by calling Haven Devon Cliffs.
Keep the caravan clean & secure
• You have a responsibility to leave the caravan as you first find it.
• Please check the caravan when you arrive and report any issues immediately.
• Prior to leaving the caravan please ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and back in place, that all kitchen surfaces and caravan tables have been wiped clean, all bins have been emptied, the floors have been hoovered and left clear of mess.
• The caravan should be left in the state you found it so that the cleaners don’t have to spend extra time and delay the next guests.
• Failure to keep the caravan clean and tidy or any evidence of smoking will result in extra costs to owner resulting in the loss of your deposit.
• Do not steal any property from the caravan or you will be charged and may face prosecution.
• All windows must be closed & doors locked when you leave the caravan. Failure to do this will risk the security of the caravan and the deposit may be withheld.
The owners/cleaners will take photographs of any mess or damage they find. Please respect the property.
IN LINE WITH THE PARK AND OWNER RULES, YOU WILL BE EVICTED, WITHOUT COMPENSATION IF:
• You have extra guests staying that have not been pre-registered.
• You cause any nuisance to others, such as loud music or shouting.
• Anyone is found to be smoking in the caravan.
• You breach any of the rules of the caravan site.
IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY BOOKING
If you cannot pay the deposit or balance of the holiday, or you are unable to honour the booking for any reason whatsoever, then please contact the owner immediately. This will give them more chance to re-sell the dates and will save them having to keep chasing you.
They may even be able to offer payment by instalments if you require help spreading the cost. You may need to claim on your holiday insurance in order to obtain a refund of any monies paid.
Damage to the caravan or its contents, or the requirement of additional cleaning due to excess mess WILL result in loss of full or partial deposit and may result in small claims court action to recover additional charges and replacement costs.
Wi-Fi
The internet connection in the holiday home is dependent the Haven’s Wi-Fi connection which can be intermittent and problematic. Therefore, this connection cannot be guaranteed and no refunds or technical support will be available if the connection should not be available for any reason.
COVID-19
All parties will be expected to comply with the park rules for COVID-19, these will always be available and regularly updated on the Haven/Devon Cliffs website.
Should the entire park be closed due to COVID-19 for the dates of your stay, deposits and payments will be refunded. ...Show less
To book we ask for a £100 deposit now to hold your holiday booking, the full balance will then need to be paid 6 weeks prior to the start of your break. The £100 deposit will be held until the end of your break to cover the breakages & cleaning terms and conditions. We return this to you soon after providing we are happy you left the caravan as you found it, clean, tidy with no breakages or damage.
