Greenacres is at Morfa Bychan, about 2 miles away from Porthmadog on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in Wales.
The site is next to and has direct access to the outstanding Black Rock Sands beach, which is very large and backed by sand dunes. It is a very safe flat beach and cars have permitted access to drive onto the beach.
The area is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and has fabulous mountain views and scenery, with extensive walking/hiking (including the Wales Coast Path), mountain biking, and climbing.
Along the Llyn Peninsula are a series of picturesque small towns, each with it's own beach and good places to eat e.g. Criccieth, Abersoch, Aberdaron. In the other direction are Portmeirion, Harlech and Barmouth, again with lots of things to see and do, including beaches, castles, good food, craft shops, great walks, boat trips etc. Most of these towns are also joined up by the scenic Cambrian coastal railway.
From Porthmadog itself there is the historic mountain railway, which takes visitors up into the mountains to Blaenau Ffestiniog and the slate mines.
It is such a great area to spend a holiday. So much to do and explore both on site and surrounding areas.
