Welcome to our privately owned caravan at Cayton Bay Holiday Park, its on Lapwing which is very close to the shop, restaurant, entertainment, children's play area, and sports dome etc. This caravan is much loved and looked after and will provide a comfortable and relaxing stay with plenty for everyone to do. It has central heating in every room and double glazing and is cozy all year round.
It has a spacious open plan kitchen and living area with a dining table that seats 6. It has a well equipped kitchen for a large family, plenty of comfortable seating, a microwave, toaster, kettle, large fridge freezer, coffee machine, hoover, radio, TV and DVD player. It has a lovely double room and 2 twin rooms, perfect for children. There's also a double sofa bed in the lounge area. The bathroom has a great shower with toilet and sink and there's another separate toilet and sink. We provide all bedding and bed linen, but ask guests to provide their own towels, tea towels, bath mats and beach towels etc. There's lots of shelving, wardrobes and storage for your stay. There's also an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer if guests need them. The Park WIFI is free for guests and available in the caravan. The dishwasher is an added bonus! Theres a recently upgraded launderette on site if you need it and a clothes airer for inside or outside use.
Outside we have a paved patio and grassy area which directly overlooks the large playing field where children can play and dogs can be excersized. We have deckchairs to sit out on and enjoy the fresh air. The beach is directly accessible from the caravan and a 5 minute walk will take you to an underpass to safely cross the road to the beach. The beach is stunning and unspoilt, with Lucy's Beach Shack for snacks and beach toys and a surf shop to hire equipment and take surf/paddleboard lessons etc. The beach is all year round dog friendly and has RNLI lifeguards through the busy months. Were happy to share our beach chairs and buckets and spades etc. The site shop is really well stocked to make meals and purchase fresh bread, fruit and veg as well as beers and wines etc.
This park is dog friendly and so is our caravan, our dogs stay there when we visit, so this van isn't good for people with allergies. We welcome 2 small, well behaved dogs that are house trained and friendly with other dogs and children. Theres even a doggy park!
The site facilities are open between February half term and close after October half term but the caravan is available to rent all year round and is lovely and peaceful in autumn/winter. Cayton Bay is between Scarborough and Filey, both within a 10 minute drive and there are so many places to visit nearby and plenty to do onsite for people of all ages.
The site has recently had millions of pounds spent updating the facilities, which are amazing, especially for children. Guests can purchase an entertainment pass from Reception on arrival, to give access to great facilities and activities; theres high ropes, an indoor pool, crazy golf, Build a Bear, Bear Grills adventures, an outdoor restaurant and entertainment area, pop up bar, street food and dessert outlets, as well as a chippy, arcade and showbar for night time entertainment. The entertainment is of a very high standard with talented Troupers or visiting acts including singers, dancers, comedy acts, bands and lots of early evening children's games etc. Nearby there is a lovely farm shop and cafe at Red Hill Farm and gorgeous tea rooms at the Stained Glass Window Centre. The Farrier in Cayton is a beautiful restaurant and cocktail bar perfect for date night, a family meal or special occasion. The popular Tow Bar pub is 5 minute walk away with a great Sunday lunch, lots of outdoor seating and children's playground. The coast bus stops directly outside the site entrance and takes you to Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington etc. Flamborough, Whitby, North York Moors and Robin Hoods Bay etc are all within a 30 minute drive.
The caravan is cleaned extensively between guests to ensure it is safe and welcoming for everyone and we take great pride in making it homely and comfortable.
