We recently returned from this caravan and the owner is refusing a refund on the deposit based on the cleaner not being able to get into the key box. There were no instructions on how to leave the key therefore my husband put the key in the box and closed it. Apparently we should have put a code in but again there were no instructions. The owner managed to get the key without causing the box damage therefore she incurred no cost to fix however won’t return the deposit due to stress. This is not a reason to keep our deposit it is not our fault she provided no instructions and it’s not our fault she was at work that day and had to drive to hours to fix. She’s since mentioned it was unclean due to toothpaste in the bathroom and rubbish in the bin, however also confirmed this is not a reason she would keep our deposit. We are so disappointed what a shame to end our holiday in this way.

I got a call from my cleaner while at work stating keysafe was jammed and unable to gain access, as I was working Friday and Saturday was unable to leave till 4pm Saturday 2 hrs journey to pv, (£40 fuel round trip) arrived 6pm managed to contact someone who was able to retrieve the keys, As my cleaner returned to my caravan on 3 occasions on Friday in hope I had been able to resolve issue, I was still liable to pay £50 charge, then had to clean my caravan myself, was not in the clean state as requested in T&C dirty sink, dirty toilets, full bins etc Yes it did cause a lot of stress as I had new guests due Monday but if I had guests due on the Friday when these guests left, I would have had no option but to cancel their holiday Not on any occasion did any guest state they had trouble returning key to safe, they all put in code to release lock to close keysafe

As per the prior review I have photo evidence my husband advised that the key lock box was tricky to access upon arrival, to be blamed for lack of instruction from the owner and a clearly dodgy box is just unfair, to not receive our deposit back based on their error and upset at there own inconvenience. In terms of leaving it unclean, well again we have photo evidence that the owner confirmed that a dish in the sink or some rubbish in a bin was not the reason for not being refunded it was just that they had to travel to open the lock box (which they did do, without having to pay anyone to do) very disappointing stay

No notification was given to owner on arrival that there was any issue with keysafe ... in fact no other guests this year has had any issues ... keysafe was brand new start of season

Had a lovely stay in Shirley's caravan ,lovely clean and lots to entertain the kids more DVDs than blockbusters and plenty games .loved sitting on the balcony soaking up the sun ,and the second toilet is a bonus when you have little ones .shirley only a message away and always happy to help .recomend this caravan we loved it and certainly be returning at some point .

We enjoyed staying at Shirley & David's caravan for 4 nights. It was lovely and warm in a caravan and we did have some bad weather during that week with a lot of rains, strong winds, and a bit cold. That's life! Thank you for the return bond and we would like to come again during the summer holidays.
