Three generations ageing from 1yr to 50+ Accommodation met all of our needs. Bright and airy lodge in a secluded, secure, gated part of the site. Clean and beautifully presented. Great communication from owner. Accommodated our requests without difficulty. Additional extras such as toiletries, cleaning materials and basic staples. 9.9/10 as would have benefitted from toilet brushes as don’t feel this job should be left to others! Would definitely recommend and will return if I get another opportunity to do so.

Absolutely gorgeous lodge, everything covered for a perfect stay. Ideally situated for young children to play safely and equipped with games for outside. Loved every minute.

We came to stay at the lodge retreat for the weekend with our 3 year old daughter, the lodge was absolutely beautiful and the cleanliness was excellent. Our little one loved her stay even sleeping all night in them comfy beds. Excellent communication from the owner. We will definitely be booking again

Best stay we’ve ever had at Haggerston Castle !! I was with my sons 19&20 and eldest son girlfriend. Karen who owns this lodge is very friendly and helpful we hope to return later on this year . Lodge is so comfy all beds are superior I’ve had the best sleep in ages . Totally recommend this lodge 10/10 5 ???? sad to be going home morro Friday 18 th March

We visited recently for 4 nights with 2 young children, my parents and our dog . The lodge is stunning, decorated to a high standard with lots of space and comfortable beds. It’s in a fab location on the site, very private behind secure electric gates. When we arrived Karen had decorated the lodge with Halloween decorations and a gorgeous balloon arch and left us a cake too. That was a lovely surprise and a nice touch. Karen was easy to communicate with and on hand should we need anything. The lodge has plenty of cleaning products, condiments etc to use. It’s a fantastic base to explore the beautiful county. Lots of dog friendly places to visit. I highly recommend Bamburgh castle and beach, it’s dog friendly on the grounds. Alnwick castle and town is simply stunning and well worth a visit, lots for children to do but be aware this castle isn’t dog friendly. There’s a lovely little dog friendly pub about a mile down the road called the Lindisfarne Inn too. Thank you for an amazing break, we are already looking to book again for next year.

We are just back from a 4 night stay. 2 adults, 2 kids under 10 and our dog. The lodge is beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed and more for our stay. Lovely surroundings and very peaceful, not to far to walk to the main complex. Great communication with the owner who was also easily contactable. The hot chocolate bombs went down a treat with everyone and were very thoughtful. Would highly recommend and we look forward to our next stay.

Booked this luxury lodge for the September weekend and was very empressed with the standard of the decoration and fittings inside this accommodation. All rooms to a very high standard and was extremely clean, was left a bottle of bubbly in the fridge which was a very nice touch the owner was always available to answer any questions that we asked I would recommend this lodge to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday. Just back from the The Lodge at Haggerston Castle, beautiful spacious lodge in a quiet area of the park overlooking the lake but still close to the amenities. Very helpful owner and lovely welcome pack to start your stay with. Pet friendly and bedding and towels provided, would highly recommend xx

Just returned home from a week spent in Retreat lodge 3. 4 adults and 4 children under 9. A lovely welcome basket, note and bottle of bubbly was a very nice touch and the kids appreciated the games which were left. Great spacious highly decorated lodge and great area for kids to play safe. We were very comfortable and the lodge provided everything we needed for our families. All bedroom beds were very comfortable. Children sleeping on the sofa bed isnt a problem but for adults I would say is a no go if you like a comfortable bed. This didnt affect our stay as the kids took turns in the front room. I did attempt to sleep on the front bed with a child a couple of nights but soon hopped back to the comfy bed. Just a small suggestion, a few more coat hangers in wardrobes. Communication from owner was great from start to finish and wouldnt hesitate booking this accommodation again.
