The cabin has a fully fenced garden/woodland area and a raised wooden deck, accessed via the living room. The village square offers a shop, pub/restaurant, pop-up food vans, take-away pizza shop, bicycle hire, ping pong tables and a laundry room. The site also has an indoor pool, a gym, sauna, steam room and an outdoor pool (usually May half term to September). The square hosts seasonal music and events as well as crafts and activities that are available to book.
The cabin offers immaculate accommodation as follows. Front door leads to an open plan fully fitted kitchen, dining area with seating for four; this leads to a good-sized living area with glazed sliding doors to the woodland deck. The kitchen has a full-size fridge/freezer, gas oven and hob, built-in microwave, kettle and toaster. The reception area has two comfortable 2-seater sofas, a smart LG television with an LG sound bar and DVD player. Some plugs have USB sockets. The cabin is equipped with an alarm. The cabin generally offers good phone signal, however it is a wooded, rural area so, we offer no guarantees on 100% coverage. Public WIFI available in the village square.
The inner hall leads to a shower room with full-size shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet. There is a small twin bedroom (small single beds) with built in wardrobe and a master double bedroom with king size bed (good mattress), wardrobe, storage and an ensuite toilet with a sink. Beds are all made up with quality matching cotton bedding - PLEASE NOTE: you need to bring your own pool towels. I provide bathroom towels, a bath mat, dish cloths and wiping up cloths. I also provide tea, coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
There are radiators in every room (gas fired), including the shower room, there is an electric log effect electric fire in the living area. I have added electric rad's because it is easier to manage (i.e., gas bottles will not run out so quickly). Plenty of large, double-glazed windows fill the cabin with light and wooded views. Each window has a curtain and voiles for added privacy. The kitchen is properly equipped with quality items; the cabin is used by family, and we have tried to make it as efficient, comfortable and like a home-away-from home as we possibly can. I have also added some local artist's work to give the cabin plenty of extra character. Pets can accompany you by prior agreement with myself only.
The ‘wild garden’ exterior is a fully fenced area and has a modern garden set for 4, a Cadac gas BBQ (guests required to bring their own camping gaz bottles); there is also seating and a large parasol on the deck. Plenty of parking space.
For indoor relaxation, there are some games, local information books and some DVD’s. Also, a ping pong set for 4 is provided, basketball hoop and badminton set. We highly recommend you bring bicycles (if not, you can hire them), tennis rackets, swimwear and walking boots. Because monitoring the gas for the BBQ is problematic, you do need to bring your own gas canisters.
Please leave the cabin clean and tidy and ensure garden cushions and games are returned to the store box at the end of your stay and put all rubbish into the bins adjacent to the cabin. This ensures it is kept in the best condition for the benefit of all guests, thank you.
