You'll be close many of Hampshire & Dorset's finest beauty spots, the New Forest National Park a short drive north, the coastline only a short stroll south at Milford-on-Sea, and Barton-on-Sea. The lodge is hidden away in tranquil settings near woodland, and is ideal for those looking for peace & quiet.
The space
This delightful lodge welcomes guests through the main door into a spacious, light-filled, and open-plan kitchen dining living area. The whole property is decorated in bright and warm tones, with cream and wood finishing throughout.
The stylish kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and small appliances. There's also ample cupboard storage in a well-designed space.
The adjoining dining area seats four guests around a lovely oak-finished dining table, complete with padded high-back dining chairs.
The extremely cosy lounge boasts a deep carpet pile, two armchairs, a two-seat sofa, a pouffe, and other soft furnishings, adding to a very relaxing feel.
A large window wraps around the front of the building — with central french doors opening onto a veranda — allowing plenty of natural light in, whilst luxury curtains can be utilised in the evening.
There's a fireplace in the lounge for the colder months, a smart tv with various streaming apps, and a bluetooth speaker system embedded into the ceiling.
In the middle of the property is a family shower room, with toilet, neat basin, shower cubicle, and clever storage units.
The first bedroom is a twin room, with two single beds, perfect for children or young adults. It has over-bed storage units, a single bedside cabinet, and wardrobe for hanging clothes.
Further down the hallway, to the rear of the property, leads you to a luxurious master bedroom; complete with queen size bed, vanity table & chair, lots of wardrobe storage, soft carpeting, and a lovely en-suite shower room. The en-suite features a toilet, basin, shower cubicle, and cupboard space.
Outside, the lodge has a large decked veranda, stretching around a large proportion of the property — with outdoor dining table & chairs (for six people), and some additional armchairs & cushions for relaxing on.
There's parking for two cars, one behind the other, next to the steps up to the front door.
The lodge is located in an ideal south-westerly facing position. It's a stone's throw away from the walking trails taking you directly into Milford-on-Sea village (25 mins) or the beach (15 mins) by foot. The main facilities of Shorefields Park are a 10 minute walk away.
Shorefields Country Park is one of the best holiday home parks on the South Coast, and boasts nature walks, and many on-site facilities with a wide range of things to do. There's leisure facilities, with pool, spa and tennis courts; for food & drink, the Tides Bar & Restaurant serves food all day, plus there's a convenient shop for basic groceries; there's also entertainment for all the family, with fun day activities and workshops for the kids, and live entertainment and performances for the grown ups.
Other things to note:
Bedding and towels included, as are Shorefield facility passes.
This is a peaceful and neighbourly site, and noise on site after 10pm is not allowed.
