Hello, I am Suzanne and am joint owner of Georgia Lodge with my Dad John. This is a brand new caravan, an Abi Keswick, which we have been enjoying the pleasure of making into a home from home. We have been doing our research to see what people like when they stay in a caravan, due to this we have enjoyed purchasing everything new, with bedding, towels and furnishings coming from Dunelm to provide quality and relaxing comfort. As a dog owner I realise the importance of welcoming those of you with these wonderful companions, as you may not always be able to prevent them jumping onto the furniture we have provided throws for the living area and in both bedrooms, these are also to provide for those times when you will want to just snuggle in with the log effect fire warming you through.
The caravan comes with central heating, to provide that warm feeling on those slightly chillier days, as caravaners of many years we understand the importance of having a smart TV with freeview built in and free WIFI to ensure that you can access all those essentials of social media. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave, the essential kettle and toaster, a full size fridge/freezer, we also provide a Tassimo coffee machine with starter packs of Americano Costa Coffee and Cadbury's Chocolate. The caddies in the kitchen contain Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea bags, Douwe Egberts Coffee and sugar, so you can just make up a brew on arrival and relax with a nice Borders Biscuit. The kitchen comes with the essentials of washing up liquid, cleaners, cloths, wipes and dish brush, allowing you not to have to worry about bringing these with you. A handy extra is the providing of a hairdryer in the main bedroom. Outside the caravan we have a small varanda off the steps, with the added extra of a gate if you have dogs of small children who you wish to keep off the steps. At the moment we have a bistro set for sitting outside but hope soon to also have an outdoors wooden table with seats, for that alfresco eating opportunity.
On arrival there will be a welcome pack (with bread, butter, jam, Borders biscuits and milk) to get you started on settling in to our attractive and cosy caravan.
The Lido Leisure Park is a lovely peaceful and calming place to stay, providing wonderful walks in the countryside and through a forest directly into Knareborough town. There is also a beautiful walk down by the River Nidd which I believe is a great spot for those of you into wild swimming and for those of you less intrepid the Mill Cafe offers warming lunches, coffee, tea and ice cream with seating right over the river. This is a marvellous spot for those of you with children with a flat embankment for you to sit while they swim, float or boat on this pool like part of the river. The park also has a pub which offers food throughout the day, with pool tables and outdoor seating.
