WiFi is available at a small cost to guests via Camping Connect. There is a charcoal barbeque for our guests to use, however, care must be taken during very dry times that no fires are left unattended. A welcome pack will be left for our guests with milk, eggs, bread and a few other essentials to enable you to whip up a light bite.

Description

The Retreat has a kitchen with full-sized oven, microwave and fridge/freezer as well as other essentials needed. The light and airy living room area has plenty of seating, a fireplace and DVD player with monitor. There is also a selection of board games and books.

There is a family shower room and the double bedroom has its own en-suite toilet. There is one twin and one single bedroom. All bedrooms have wardrobes. Bedding and toilet paper is provided as well as one bath towel per guest.

A welcome pack of bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee is provided for guests.

If you are travelling with babies, a travel cot is available, but please provide bedding for this.

Outside there is wooden deck area with table and chairs and a grassed area with a picnic bench and parasol.

The access steps are quite steep, so may not be suitable to those of limited mobility or for very young children.

The park is very rural and a haven of peace and quite. There are no entertainment facilities on site, but there is a golf course a 10 minute walk away that welcomes non-members to both play golf and use the bar and restaurant and the pool and darts. The riverside town of Hay on Wye is 7 miles away, where canoeing and kayaking can be enjoyed as well as bathing in the shallow waters.

The caravan was clean, comfortable and provided everything we could wish for a relaxing weekend break in the heart of the outstandingly beautiful Welsh countryside. Rhosgoch is in a remote area, reachable via winding country lanes and steep hills but you can take in the scenic view along the way. We enjoyed our trip to bookish Haye on Wye and had a lovely meal in the Fountain Inn in Builth Wells, both are on the doorstep. Anyone who wants to get away from it all, this is the place for you.

I had a lovely three days in the caravan. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The site is very quiet and peaceful and the caravan is in a good position next to the steam and wooded area. Communication with Becky was excellent. My dog had a great time too!

Lovely stay thank you in Roshgoch, very peaceful retreat just what we needed to escape the huddle and bustle of everyday life. Our little dog loved running around the site and kids enjoyed playing hide and seek in the gardens. Owner left a wonderful welcome pack on arrival and it was much appreciated. The shower was powerful and warm. Feeling Refreshed.

On arriving at the caravan Becky met us and welcomed us in, explained a few things to us then left us to settle in, she left us a welcome package and our whippet got a couple of biscuits too, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Boys loved the fact that they had been given the option of having their own rooms or sharing when Becky was getting the caravan ready for us. The games and DVD's came in useful when we had a few days of wet weather, kept the boys off there phones for a little bit too which was nice. The area was very quiet and peaceful. We loved it!

A lovely family, including the 4 legged member, who left the caravan immaculate. Welcome back any time.

This caravan and setting were perfect for our Autumn break. We were cosy, very comfortable and appreciated the goodies on arrival, even the dog had some chews. The heating worked well, super shower and a lovely kitchen with some essentials for us to use. (Washing up liquid, cooking oil, foil etc.) The area by the stream was a favourite for the dog, she loved mooching around the Autumn debris. The views as you leave for Brecon are spectacular and we got out every day enjoying the local towns and food. The books and games came in useful as we enjoyed quiet evenings snuggled up on the generous sofa. We were welcomed and shown around but then left to settle in. It is an area to appreciate peace and quiet and a bit of wildlife. (Owls, bats etc)

Wonderful guests who are welcome back at any time. The caravan was left spotlessly clean and tidy. Thank you.

A well presented comfortable clean caravan in a outstanding location. The welcome package was very generous and most welcome on our arrival! Everything was provided to ensure a relaxing stay and the children enjoyed hours of paddle boarding on the river which is only a ten minute drive away. If you are looking for a rural retreat this is the place for you!! Many thanks to Becky and Dave!
