Fifty-five (Seagulls Rest) is an 8 berth Caravan located on the Butlins Caravan Village in Ingoldmells.
This is a privately owned caravan recently under new management.
Fifty-five has been tastefully decorated and furnished in the New England coastal style.
Now available to rent for family bookings and the much sought after Butlins Big Weekender events.
This is a modern caravan with open plan kitchen dining area and lounge. Apex ceilings throughout giving a more spacious feel than the traditional low flat ceilings you find in most caravans.
So, let's start with the lounge, the place you're most likely to spend most of your waking time in the caravan:
There's plenty of seating in an L shaped seating area with plenty of scatter cushions and blankets so you can cosy up and watch your favourite box sets or choose a film on Netflix. Flat screen TV and DVD and a selection of Family and classic DVDs.
Free WiFi in the caravan that's super quick and efficient.
There's a large coffee table, just slide the top sections apart to reveal storage for boardgames, cards, domino's etc. (supplied).
Also provided is a selection of books for those of you that endeavour to make time for reading when on holiday. There's some really good titles in the book selection so do take a good look and don't worry if you get stuck into a really good read and then can't finish it, please feel free to take the book home with you.
Then there's the dining area with bench seating and an additional two stools making it a comfortable area for a family of up to 6 and a little bit of a squish for 8 people.
The kitchen is an open plan galley design and comes complete with a full sized gas oven and hob (mains gas so no running out of gas halfway through cooking your evening meal).
There's an undercounter fridge/freezer, electric kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, handheld blender and microwave. There's baking trays, pans, crockery and cutlery as well as a good selection of cooking utensils so you should find everything you need to cater for your family or group. And of course a good selection of glasses including wine glasses, short tumblers, tall tumblers and shot glasses as well as a supply of plastic tumblers for the children of the family.
We will leave you fresh milk in the fridge for your arrival along with complimentary tea coffee and sugar so you can enjoy a nice cuppa after your journey.
We also provide freshly laundered tea towel, hand towel, hand soap, dishcloth, oven mitt, washing up liquid and a pan scourer ( just in case you burn the pan, ooops). In the kitchen you will also find ketchup, salt, pepper, vinegar and assorted variety pack cereals and to help you feel especially welcome we'll leave you a little complimentary treats hamper (contents will vary). For your convenience there will be a supply of clingfilm, kitchen foil and kitchen towel. There are cleaning materials under the sink though we only hope that you leave the caravan clean and tidy on checkout we're not expecting you to spend all your precious holiday time scrubbing and cleaning.
In the double cupboard in the entrance, there's an iron and ironing board, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, hoover, clothes airer and radiator airers which are good for hanging your swimming towels out to dry. (Please don't take the caravan towels away from the caravan).
Seagulls Rest has three bedrooms:
Let's start with the main bedroom. This has a double bed, mattress protector with a king-size quilt and 4 pillows for comfort. During the warmer months we put a lightweight quilt on the bed, but extra blankets can be found in the top of the wardrobe for the odd chillier night. In the colder months you'll find a High tog quilt to keep you cosy through the night. You'll find your bed freshly made up for you on arrival with luxury designer bedding, bed runner and coordinating cushions. There's a triple wardrobe in this room with drawers in the bottom and a top shelf along with plenty of sturdy wooden coat hangers on which to hang your holiday outfits. There's a handy shelf on either side of the bed and a socket on one side with USB point for charging phones/tablets etc. We supply a bedside lamp and there is a light switch next to the bed so you can switch off the main light whilst in bed.
We will also provide 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 face flannel per person per stay, if you think you will need more than that please let us know and we will leave extra.
There is a travel cot stored under the bed in this room and a stroller pushchair for those of you with infant children.
There are two further bedrooms each containing twin beds and a single wardrobe. These are relatively small rooms as is commonplace in most caravans, but are perfectly comfortable for children or adults alike. As these rooms are primarily designed for use by children there are no sockets close to the beds and so we supply battery operated lights on the shelves above the beds to compensate for not having bedside lamps. Spare batteries for these will be supplied. Designer bedding for these rooms is supplied and again all beds will be made up freshly ready for your arrival. Hair dryer and straighteners can be found in the bottom of the wardrobe and these wardrobes are also supplied with wooden coat hangers. There's an electric socket and a mirror in each of these rooms.
There's a family bathroom with a generously sized walk in shower, toilet and washbasin, mirror and bathroom shelving.
Then there's a separate toilet and hand basin, mirror and storage shelf.

Outside there's a gated veranda with garden furniture so you can dine Al fresco or just sit out with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
Parking for 1, or 2, if carefully parked cars. Butlins ask us to please not park on the grass but on the tarmac and paved areas immediately next to the caravan.
That pretty much sums up the accommodation.

Butlins is Butlins.
It is what is it is and I don't think there's anywhere else quite like it.
It's great for the family. There's literally too much to do, so never a bored moment. And that's just on the resort. For those of you that have been you will know most of what Butlins have to offer but here's a list of what's available.

Your holiday price includes accommodation in the caravan for 2 people and includes 2 passes to the Butlins resort and use of facilities and entertainment. Additional guests can be added to your booking up to a maximum occupancy of 8 persons and are priced according to number of guests to include passes, bed linen and towels. £60 per additional guest.
Unfortunately all family breaks have been booked for 2022 but there are still dates left for the Butlins Big Weekenders so book soon to avoid disappointment. The Butlins Big Weekenders are very popular and very good value. Although they look expensive, when you look at this in terms of person per night they are very reasonably priced considering the entertainment and big acts line up that's included. The atmosphere at these events is amazing. I attended one recently and it took me right back to my clubbing days, fantastic music, DJs, live acts and performances, splash pool parties. Just fun, fun and more fun. Ideal for stag and hen parties or birthday celebrations or even just a great get-together with the girls/boys. And all within the safety of the resort, no taxis at the end of the night, just a zigzagging walk home, and a variety of food venues to choose from for a bit of supper. These are adult only weekends and you need to bring ID to prove your age.

Balance in full to be paid 60 days before the start of your holiday. If Balance is not paid in full on time, your holiday will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund for your deposit but your damages bond will be returned to you.
